The Situation
Striker
Bar two games, this was precisely the standard of performance he was putting in prior to even being linked with Brighton by the way.
It's nothing new.

.....wooooooaahhh there fella!I'd play Anderson on the wing before seeing Watson again in a Sunderland shirt

Sorry, couldn’t disagree more - obvs to all wanted to be away and has presumably made that clear - I agree once the deal was done should have been placed with youths or somewhere to maintain fitness and nowt more - must be a first to announce departure in this way and Graham, Harte et al need to take a look at themselves on their conduct in this scenarioOn a personal level he's probably worried that an injury will scupper his involvement in Brighton's pre-season and his failure to totally commit is largely down to RLB's incompetence. He should only be used as an impact sub with ten minutes left tbh and that will likely be his role at Brighton if he's lucky
I hope he’s nowhere near the teamHe'll get pelters tomorrow
And in turn it's going to hurt our chances of going up
Any Sunderland fan booing him is thick as pig shit
He was looking good in the game he got injured n'all, among a smattering of late sub appearances where he didnt do much. I think he'll end up a good player imho. I know most disagree, but i think he is gonna be a bit of a starYeah, sorry, you're right. It's the same standard of performance he's put in all season long (with the exception of two games) mind.
So what his excuse for his performance v Bristol city then even his team mates blasted himThat's not going to help his performance.
There is no excuse and his shite attitude will stop him fulfilling his potential. Cant even be arsed for his boyhood club.So what his excuse for his performance v Bristol city then even his team mates blasted him

It’s piss poor by RLB selecting him and playing him that full 90. Lad has mentally checked out and there’s others in the squad who could be getting minutes and aren’t. Aleskic being the main one who could benefit from minutes in these dead rubber games. It’s not like Watson is pivotal to the side, he played a few games before his injury and overall he looked a bit lost in all of them apart from 1 or 2. That Bristol City game should be his last ever appearance not because of his poor performance but because of the lack of effort.Must admit I won’t give him grief no matter how bad he is, he’s a young local lad who Reggie is selecting fully aware of his performance and his commitment to the team.
We have moved him on for over £10m which seems a cracking deal.
If he’s selected Reggie will be fully aware of the shit the lad will get and he doesn’t care.
Or just put him on a sabbatical get him away from the clubI think it would be best for everyone that the club just put him back in the under 21 until the season ends
YesOr just put him on a sabbatical get him away from the club
He was shit. They all have shit games sometimes. He did plenty of running about but wasn't very good. I just think he will never be as good as Mundle and I'm happy we've got the money we did. I'm happy that we can use him while Mundle recovers unless there's someone better to do the jobSo what his excuse for his performance v Bristol city then even his team mates blasted him
If thats how you read it then crack on. You clearly arnt understanding whats being saidI can’t believe I’m seeing people blaming the club and the manager for him playing shite.
It was a embarrassing performance he just looked disinterestedSo what his excuse for his performance v Bristol city then even his team mates blasted him
Its funny as i never thought clarke was worth the money bandied about. Yes we had the crackin goals (on his right) but always thought other parts of his game were average. Now he hardly gets a sniff at a club like Ipswich.I’m not sure grown men are writing him off for leaving us, they are writing him off because he has been playing shite and they can’t see a 10 million pound player in him.
That’s a fair observation from what I’ve seen so far tbh.

Watson yes hes playing shite some argue not putting the effort in but lots of clubs see stuff in him. Time will tell but 10 mill in this day is hardly earth shattering.
I would rather the club wernt playing him rather than him being hung out and used as a scape goat.
