The winger is unmarked. Patto has to come near post on his line. If he doesn't he would leave the goal unguarded.

The winger could have passed the ball square on the deck to the unmarked player in the middle. He crossed it high because I think he guessed Dan Neil would try to close him down (as he should have done).

Patto can't move until he crosses, the kid who heads it is 6 yards out. Apparently he should make up 6 yards in about half a second to challenge for the ball 😂

All Patto could have done was spread himself 'Peter Schmeical' style halfway between his line and the attacker. He would maybe block it once out of 10 if that. He got himself a bit lost.

It was a defensive fuck up. Not Patto's fault.

And if Neil didn’t stop the ball just gets pulled to someone about 15yards out totally free with the ball on the floor. Mephem losing the ball is the problem as from there we just never have enough people in the right places to try and stop all the problems we have. That said and I like Patterson and the stuff that gets said on here is total nonsense, I have no idea at all what he is trying to do, it’s a massive error from him

He shouldn’t be. He should be either out on loan or our number 1 , however that is much more risky and would mean needing to bring in a much better number 2 then Moore and that will be a hard task in that situation.

Dan Neil has got to go towards the ball, it's the most important thing in football! You can't mark up and leave 2 players free with the ball nearer the goal 😂

As soon as Dan Neil stops it's pretty much a goal 9 times out of 10. Patto was floundering because of the totally shite situation that had been caused by his defence.

How often in any game is the keeper left exposed with 2 unmarked players within about 6 yards of his goal? I would suggest hardly ever. The keeper has almost no chance in that situation.
