Is that confirmed?? There’s been 2 options given to them so far.Same as they are now
They were already contracted till end of julyThat's good then. I thought they only got extended by 6 months.
That’s just what we are all suggesting, they won’t listen to that they never do. It’s all set in stone and that’s the way it will stay. They talking about longer shifts and shorter Fri too, and also 4 days week on the one shift
Hated every second mate7 weeks that must of been a nightmare
That’s it. Fair play to the lads who can stick it, but I fear loads are ‘stuck’ due to the wages and so on.Sounds like it. The pay sounded the only incentive to put up with it; now that element is taken away, why struggle on in a place that could go bust?
Bet most of those hard-working lads could turn their hands to something better if they believed in themselves.
4 day week would save them more moneyThat’s just what we are all suggesting, they won’t listen to that they never do. It’s all set in stone and that’s the way it will stay.
They offered shorter weeks not that long ago and it got knocked back by the majority of people as they thought it was a conspiracy to make them do more overtime. That’s just what we are all suggesting, they won’t listen to that they never do. It’s all set in stone and that’s the way it will stay.
They will put overtime on every day Mon-Thurs and a Saturday (until it goes proper tits up) 4 day week isn’t gonna happen mate. It’s all been done.4 day week would save them more money
I can’t remember them offering shorter weeks at all, some Einstein suggested longer shifts during the week for an early finish on a Friday but the shift times were a joke. If they put 4 day weeks on they would need to do 12 hour shifts to get their output at 57 cars per hour without a Saturday on. No chance of that. They offered shorter weeks not that long ago and it got knocked back by the majority of people as they thought it was a conspiracy to make them do more overtime.
They need to change the shifts, due to working time regulations. 48hour working week maximum. Can't do 1 hour overtime Monday to Thursday and a Saturday it breaks the law. They will put overtime on every day Mon-Thurs and a Saturday (until it goes proper tits up) 4 day week isn’t gonna happen mate. It’s all been done.

Don't think that rule applies if you volunteer to work overtimeThey need to change the shifts, due to working time regulations. 48hour working week maximum. Can't do 1 hour overtime Monday to Thursday and a Saturday it breaks the law.
Well we do that now and have done for years but it still isn’t 48 hours so they get away with it. Any other job aye, production line no.They need to change the shifts, due to working time regulations. 48hour working week maximum. Can't do 1 hour overtime Monday to Thursday and a Saturday it breaks the law.
You’re right and wrong. Overtime is compulsory.Don't think that rule applies if you volunteer to work overtime
Oh one of those companies. Im guessing they "ask" you to work overtime but the asking means theres only one answer?......You’re right and wrong. Overtime is compulsory.
4 day week would save them more money
Can't force you but it's expected that you opt out of the working time directive, also it's an average over 3 months I think so most people would rarely hit that. They need to change the shifts, due to working time regulations. 48hour working week maximum. Can't do 1 hour overtime Monday to Thursday and a Saturday it breaks the law.
Temps have had their contracts renewed till 31st DecemberThe temps must be sick as fuck.
Rumoured there on about 4 day working week 10 hour shifts plus an hours overtime and instead of sat overtime it would move to Friday. They will put overtime on every day Mon-Thurs and a Saturday (until it goes proper tits up) 4 day week isn’t gonna happen mate. It’s all been done.

It was encouraged to sign out of that when I was working for a now collapsed construction firm what must be 15 years ago now. Can't force you but it's expected that you opt out of the working time directive, also it's an average over 3 months I think so most people would rarely hit that.
Overtime is counted in the working week smhRumoured there on about 4 day working week 10 hour shifts plus an hours overtime and instead of sat overtime it would move to Friday.
Still under the 48 hour week as overtime isn’t counted as working week
