He’s better than both Connolly and Rusyn, so strengthens the squad. We need more than 2 strikers, should have 3 or 4 competing for places. Crazy to think otherwise.

It's called reverse psychology....I'd Love to see him sign infact I'd be elated! But being a Sunderland fan I'm expecting disappointment, hence the words he's crap anyway, when this dosnt happen 🤷🤣
 
You would have said Connolly was a good I option at the time. Scored goals at this level and no immediate aspirations to being starting or the main man.

We’re not going to sign a striker to take Wilson’s place and we won’t play 2 upfront very often our midfield isn’t strong enough for that.

So it’s really hard to know what to do. There’s no games to bring someone in gradually either.

Try and get someone in still but I’d prefer it if the fans didn’t make it out to be the most easy thing in the world for the reasons mentioned and also acknowledging that we shouldn’t be committing £10m up front and stupid wages without parachute money.

I didn't say it wasn't. Connoly was a waste of time as he was just an out and out striker and not a very good one at that. For me we have 2 wide positions free at the minute until mundle/Watson are back and Roberts isn't particularly pulling up trees. So there's room in the first 11 for someone.

No, by my logic players are unlikely to come, knowing they are likely to be sitting on the bench short-term. Why did Connolly leave?

We have played 2 up top, it might be someone better than Isidor we can rotate, so what's your solution then don't sign anyone?

I don’t have a solution. For me, Isidor is our first choice with Mayenda as back-up and they are proven to work in our system.
I’m merely saying, who is going to loan us a player or which player is likely to come knowing they are probably going to at least start on the bench?

How many games have we started two up-front?

We should just go fuckit..... 4-4-2 for the rest of the season. All this 4-2-3-1 is just getting us safely into the playoffs. We are just about guaranteed the playoffs right now so gamble a bit to make the top two 🤔

Maybe a player will come and back himself to get in the team.
Maybe he’s looked at the chances Mayenda has missed and thinks “I would have scored them”

Mayenda is promising but isn't prolific enough maybe someone can back themselves to score more than him or be a different type to Isidor, so would you not sign anyone
