Carlisle United

There looks to be a few players among recent arrivals that might improve their playing fortunes.

That trip to Carlisle on the 1st February starting to make me a little nervous.
They are signing some quality for sure.

We ain’t got a pot to piss in and still need a few.
Can’t shift a few out as nobody will want them. It’s going to be a nervous end to the season.

Tbf there are a few at that end with the same problem(s), it's about what the manager thinks will work game by game. Get a bit of positive momentum & pick up enough points. The 0-0 v Crewe (a) will work wonders for squad belief, concentrate purely about yourselves. You can score a goal & pick a clean sheet so there's hope.

Signing "quality" for a level is one thing but putting them together as an effective team is something completely different that can change week to week. The jury will be out on that one until a few games are played.

I reckon they'll miss Jon Mellish at both ends of the pitch.

Gave money bags Birmingham a game in the Piss Pot Trophy the other night.
Was at 1-1 until our keeper made a mistake in the last minute.

Tomorrow one of the biggest games of the season.
All about safety now. Expect Swindon to come out firing against Barrow.

You're in games, it's about the fine margins, fight, mental strength & belief. Expect a tight pressure game v Barrow, they'll come not to get beat.

11 changes to the team they play in the league????

Even May and Stansfield etc weren't on the bench.

Well done you gave Birminghams under 23s a game.

Note they beat Fulham under 21s 7-1 in the group game it was the full first team.

Carlisle will surely put a run together, leaves Harrogate, Newport, Swindon and Tranmere in deep trouble if so. Definitely the worst relegation to suffer in the whole pyramid, so hard to come back up.
