Boro thread

We have an average attendance of 25,339, which is pretty decent in my opinion, considering we have some of the most expensive tickets in the Championship
SAFC average ST price = 515
Boro average ST price= 590

I don't think a difference of £75 is responsible for yous having an average of 16,000 less fans attending. I think our owners can afford to sell cheaper tickets because they sell so many it makes up for it, Gibson on the other hand is struggling to put his heating on because Boro fans won't turn up, the poor bloke is ruining himself for you ungrateful...

SAFC is still in the top 6 most expensive tickets so the fact we have the top average attendance in the league, beating second place by around 5k, just proves we are the greatest fans in the world.

No, it just means you have MORE fans (than anyone in the championship, not the world😁), not that they're any 'better' than anyone elses.

Newcastle get higher attendances than you, so by your logic are their fans better than yours?

I first started coming on here when Boro were in the Championship and Sunderland were in the Premier League. I can give it out and take it back.

As I've said, I can understand many on here being happy about being above a local rival. It makes a nice change for you.
I couldn't give a flying f**k if we're above you your not a local rival and for the millionth time it's not a real derby
Does anyone else go on to opposition teams forums and talk out their arse, or is that something reserved for the likes of Steven?

How do I get some of these free tickets?
Aye all those scum come on here and talk out of their arse defending and deflecting there heanus regime

Except you clearly weren't referring to overall wins and attendances in your original reply were you Robert.

Regarding Boro having 2 "heeds", I'm going to assume your ability to count is as poor as your ability to spell and tell you that you're wrong.
gan bang ya 2 heeds together teeny steve

take a break off the forum(if you can) you're clearly getting mad as sunlun are your more superior rivals and one of your heeds is gonna explode if you're not careful, its not my fault sunlun, a fair chunk of the time have been better, more wins h2h and always had better attendances 🤷‍♂️

Still creased at Steven bragging that he pays more for his season ticket.

Doesn’t use his club card at Tesco either, just so he can pay more.
when we were in the premier league i was paying 600quid a season for season ticket...do that me a better fan than teeny 2 heeds?

Sunderland's cheapest adult ST price - £420
Boro's cheapest adult ST price - £510

Sunderland's cheapest junior ST price - £48
Boro's cheapest junior ST price - £206

the 4 quid a month direct debit makes the difference for 16,000 (on a good day) less fans than us.... nevermind the bigger catchment area boro has, but unfortunately, a lot of them support man utd, liverpool and arsenal

That's certainly not true. In the family area of the ground you can get a free kids ticket with an £500 adults one.

* In Boro's ground I should clarify.

Not sure why anyone's arguing with you - those prices are ridiculous.

Likewise, I don't understand why you're taking the piss out of Sunderland for having cheap ticket prices, and lying to emphasise the point. Isn't that what you want for Boro? £48 Junior Season Tickets?

I'm not taking the piss, I'm making the point that pricing is a factor as to why you average the crowds you average.

You'd still average higher crowds than Boro if we had the same pricing, but you wouldn't average what you average if you had Boro's pricing.

"I know being a Sunderland fan it must be easy to assume that every club has cheap tickets and gives them away for free."

You were either taking the piss, being ignorant, or you're thick as fuck. I gave you the benefit of doubt and went with the lighter choice.

Not sure what the obsession is over who'd have more. All the North East's support is some of the best in the country. It's objectively true.

25,000 at Boro most weeks despite lack of top level football for almost a decade, and just one season in the Premier League in almost 2 decades.

50,000+ sell outs at Newcastle despite winning fuck all for well over half a century.

40,000+ every other week at Sunderland despite recently spending half a decade in League One, and not being in the top flight for almost a decade.

All three sell out every away game, if not the vast majority despite having some of the furthest distances to travel. We're also surrounded by a handful of lower league clubs: Darlo, Spennymoor, Hartlepool, Gateshead, South Shields.

There's not an area of the country with the levels of support the North East has for their football teams.

Why obsess over who'd have more support? Why take the piss over cheaper tickets when you'd want a similar pricing structure at Boro, and what's the point in lying over giving free tickets out?
