Boro thread

I'm not taking the piss, I'm making the point that pricing is a factor as to why you average the crowds you average.

You'd still average higher crowds than Boro if we had the same pricing, but you wouldn't average what you average if you had Boro's pricing.
My god everyday on a sunlun page obsessing over us for whatever reason ….Gan bang those 2 heeds together teeny Steve they’re ganna explode

"I know being a Sunderland fan it must be easy to assume that every club has cheap tickets and gives them away for free."

You were either taking the piss, being ignorant, or you're thick as fuck. I gave you the benefit of doubt and went with the lighter choice.

Not sure what the obsession is over who'd have more. All the North East's support is some of the best in the country. It's objectively true.

25,000 at Boro most weeks despite lack of top level football for almost a decade, and just one season in the Premier League in almost 2 decades.

50,000+ sell outs at Newcastle despite winning fuck all for well over half a century.

40,000+ every other week at Sunderland despite recently spending half a decade in League One, and not being in the top flight for almost a decade.

All three sell out every away game, if not the vast majority despite having some of the furthest distances to travel. We're also surrounded by a handful of lower league clubs: Darlo, Spennymoor, Hartlepool, Gateshead, South Shields.

There's not an area of the country with the levels of support the North East has for their football teams.

Why obsess over who'd have more support? Why take the piss over cheaper tickets when you'd want a similar pricing structure at Boro, and what's the point in lying over giving free tickets out?
I obviously made that comment tongue in cheek as it was in response to a poster saying our support was shit, I don't know whether Sunderland still give free tickets away, or whether it was exaggerated with regards to how many free tickets were given away in the past.

I do agree that all three of the big NE clubs have good support, but I also do think pricing is a factor as to why you average the crowds you average. As I've said several times now, you'd still average higher crowds if we had the same pricing, they just wouldn't be as high.

What utter shit. 20,000 more because the tickets are what 10 or 15% cheaper, you’re off your nut you man

Sunderland had 35k against bristol city with 4k away fans so not that much more than boro really

What you going on about? Bristol city never brought 4k up here during the week. Was lucky to be 500 of them
Sunderland's cheapest adult ST price - £420
Boro's cheapest adult ST price - £510

Sunderland's cheapest junior ST price - £48
Boro's cheapest junior ST price - £206

Where you get the £48 from? The cheapest junior part season ticket is £50

We get 16000 more than you ( by this seasons averages )
Not that fan base size means a thing really…
No one knows that better than us

his 2 heeds are talking cobblers mate just like the rest of the mutants on here 🤷‍♂️
It really means very little fan base size ( though it is great to be in a stadium with 40000 ) as far as results go .

Could lose Ben Doak and Latth this month, them are 2 players they cannot replace, and would be a lot more confident going down there next month
Think they already lost Isaiah Jones to Luton this week. He’d rather go play for a managerless team of relegation fodder than stay with the Smogs.

You don't average 20,000 more.

If we had your pricing I think we'd average crowds close to 30,000.

If you had our pricing I think you'd average around 35-36,000.
I think if you had our pricing and we had yours there’d be no discernible difference in the crown sizes maybe a few hundred tops. There you go. Easy this.

Currently we average around 16000 more but you reckon that would be down to 6000 more of prices were reversed. What utter shite. Small club kept afloat by Gibson.
