It's just funny seeing us in very recent times go through the worst period in the clubs entire history, just to very quickly overtake Boro in one season. Nowt special about it mind, just funny as fuck.

Well first of all it was a question, I don't know but assumed you might, so I've missed nowt.

Secondly, that wouldn't be since you've been in the Championship would it? Because you had a year in the PL.

Let me dumb it down for you, since your 16/17 relegation season, have you at any time been genuine contenders for automatic promotion?

Would have made it a bit easier had you been more specific in the first place like.

Well funnily enough we were "in an automatic promotion race" (if being close to the top 2 in January constitutes to that) during Carrick's first season.

Local rumor mill says we have had 2 bids for him from Ipswich and Leicester both around 12 million both turned down.
With Conway out we can't really afford to lose him, but money will be needed if they don't think we are going to get in the Play offs.
Even the fans have accepted over the last couple of years if you don't go up your best players go.

No it wasn't pretty specific. You asked have we been promoted since being in the Championship, not since our relegation season.

The Championship was formed in 2004. We got promoted 15/16.

So yeah, we were in the Championship and we got promoted to the Premier League.

We looked like genuine contenders for automatic promotion around January time during Carrick's first season.

Fair enough, if someone asked me how we've done since being in the Championship, I wouldn't start talking about Mick McCarthy's league winning 2005 team. I'd understand they mean since entering the division.

We'll consider it an honest misunderstanding and I'll forgive your bitchiness.

Rumours seems to be Coburn coming back
Boro fan recommend him to us …he any good ( if you let him go ?)-he was on our books one time
Thought you would need defenders to be fair ..goals dint seem a problem it’s the other end ?

I like Coburn. Gets stuck in and gives it his best. Can't really see him higher than 1st div/championship level to be honest. We have quote a few decent defenders but have a really bad injury list at the moment..
We have had some poor results but still managed to climb back into the playoffs. I'm confident we will do well as players return
