Milan Aleksic - Confirmed

Here's a thought players aren't always signed to play straight away, he is one of them
Stop talking sense, the angry know it alls on here will be after you

Who's angry ? People are just discussing the lad.

Quite right that we sign players for their potential, and they may not always be ready for the first team. Thats a common occurrence at all clubs. However, he's been on the bench every single first team game since he signed. He's never once not been in the match day squad since he walked through the door, yet he's only actually got on the pitch once. You don't think it's a bit odd?

You've absolutely lost it here mind.

Nobody is claiming to talk facts or is getting angry. They are simply questioning why a highly rated player has been on the bench every game for months and played around 20 minutes despite there being several occasions when he could have had a positive impact.

Because they all know better than the trained professionals at the club.

“Lost it”

I guess you've never questioned any decision by any manager ever then?

And yes, you've totally lost it. Talking shite about people getting angry rather than trying to continue the actual debate.

So 'asking a question ' is now 'knowing better than professionals' ?

You've completely lost me. And it
Ok sweetheart

Dry your eyes mate
Exactly. It is indeed a messageboard where someone’s view doesn’t necessarily make then “angry”, “an expert” or a “know it all”

Which you are now stating as fact
Next you’ll be telling me I’m rattled…..another SMB favourite

i reckon it will be a physical build , getting his Vo2 max and recoveries up , plus putting a bit of strength/power in him , all the while keeping him round game day so when hes ready , hes ready . Championship is a very physical league and Regis does it right by the kids .

Nobody's saying play him for the full 90 week in week out. We're just asking why he has only played around 20 minutes when there have been many occasions when we could have done with him coming on.

last 20 is where the physicality is the important factor usually . Often as not we're seeing a game out. FWIW i dont think Regis goes far enough in going physical late on , close em down , win the ball high and if they punt it nod it out .

I don’t think succession planning is what fans are debating here as most understand the lad has came in as part of that very planning. The issue being discussed is more about the fact the lad has came in and not been getting any minutes at any level which if I’m being honest find confusing. If he is here for the future then build him up with games and not just sit watching games as that to me and many others doesn’t seem to make much sense.
I can’t see what’s confusing about it ??? People are just impatient look at his cameo the so called fans where trying to ruin him after 20 mins because he missed a chance! you have to give young lads the best chance to get off to a good start or it maybe game over before they have even had a decent chance , rigg barely got any minutes last season he was in and amongst the squad and this season clearly come back with alot more muscle and then he’s in the team. They have a formula that they obv believe in

Because the 20 mins he did play he got nowt but f***ing dogs abuse for missing a chance put him in when he’s deemed as been ready as out fans have no patience

I'm not sure the club should be paying any attention to a few dafties on here mind.

It’s the lack of minutes at any level that is puzzling fans.
Maybe, just maybe the club knows better. Why is it that people always think they know better?

Complete conjecture
I don’t claim to know better than the club but merely offering my point of view or opinion. I haven’t said I’m correct the club is wrong or anything so I find your reply a bit baffling to be honest. I do however stand by my belief in that any player at any level of football will only improve by being on a football pitch be that reserves the first team u21s or whatever. This has to be a better thing in my opinion than no football.
Not playing any football for months despite being fit and ready, then all of a sudden required to start in CM tomorrow away at stoke due to the rigg injury.

Excellent work Sunderland

If he isn't good enough to be getting 10-15 mins here and there, how is he good enough to play 90 mins? He shouldn't even be on the bench

There's a lot of positive things happening with the team lately but some things are baffling and frustrating. Our refusal to make any subs is one of them
I don’t think it has been a bad thing him being on the bench if nothing but to learn from it, but that also has to come by playing minutes even if those minutes are for the u21s.
