Patterson any thoughts.

For me he’s over weight and just not good enough. He’s the weak link in my opinion. I’ll take the pelters but he’s clearly not commanding his area and his punts up field don’t make it up field. Every where else we look ok.
Two goals in two games could have been prevented if he comes out and punches the ball. Apart from the odd shot shop he's average at best.

I'm trying to think of many modern
keepers that have this "Command of his area" that Patto is criticised for?

I'm honestly struggling to think of any keeper that comes for crosses regularly.

It’s just a thing people say with no concept of what it actually means. Id love to know where he would have caught the ball for their goals yesterday.

So you’ve seen Moore play all of 3 games in his full career yet you can give us the lowdown on his handling, distribution, jumping and all that other shit you’ve said?
That's not what I said. Read it again.
I asked you for a comparison and all you came up with was shot stopper. Not enough to justify selection.
Moore is a well established GK and had a career before Sunderland

That's absolutely shite. He doesn't look overweight and he's a very good goalkeeper.

I'm finding your over-hyping of Simon Moore rather amusing tbh. Amusing and baffling.
I'm not over hyping my friend, I'm asking the poster, who can't offer anything sensible, on how Patterson is better than Moore. All their response is 'a better shot stopper' which I don't think justify selection on its own. Solely asking for comparisons

And what is your two-penneth worth of Patterson favouritism.
I'm asking a simple question of why is he better than Moore

Moore's distribution was much worse, that much was clear in the games he played. He didn't look anywhere near as capable of passing it around at the back.
The goalkeeper shouldn't be passing it around at the back. All he needs to do is save it and hoof it. Teams that pass out from the back need to be very good at it, and we aren't. Our forwards thrive on quick breaks, not slow build-ups, we haven't got the strength up front. Hoof it, win the 2nd ball, a few one touch passes then score.

He's better in every aspect. Pick a goalkeeping aspect and Anthony is better at it. That's no slight on Simon mind. Just the cold hard reality. His career so far reflects that and will continue to do so.
He's only ever been a regular starter in League 1 and he's nearly 35.
I had to double check as I was starting to think I'd missed parts of his career.

Yes because I’ve never seen Moore enough to comment on all them comparisons though.

Patterson is clearly the number 1 and le bris obviously agrees.

I felt uneasy every time the ball went anywhere near Moore when he filled in for Patterson. That’s why Patterson is the number one.

I want him to come off his line for these crosses and just wipe out anyone in his way and punch the crosses away. Monty used to say that any ball into the six yard box was his - I'd like Patto to play that way.
Monty had King Charlie protecting him though.
