A lot of it is probably to do with how much cash they have tied up in cars at the end of the quarter. Assume they only want so much, new quarter starts and they can hammer them in again to end the financial year.

Read a lot of shit about Nissan on this thread over the months and what it’s like to work there. Yes the shifts are hard but I found the lads I worked with to be spot on and still in touch with many today. I left in 2016 so it might be different now but all I can say about the place is as a 20-something year old lad joining it completely sorted me out to understand what hard work was and made me much more disciplined in general.
