Vote no and find out they’re not gonna shut the plant ffs. Might come back with .5% extra on year 2 or add a lumper no one knows only way to find out is a NO vote. You aren’t going to get more than that % wise even when we making record figures of cars we only got inflation and a bit
The whole procedure is ridiculous ! having a bunch of berks who don’t give a shit if the company goes under as their wages are low they can walk into another similar paid job easily , voting for an acceptable pay rise I mean what could possibly go wrong
1% extra would be better. Sorry to anyone I’ve enraged.Be f***ing hilarious if they take the 1k lumper off and put extra 1% or .5% the broth heeds who wanted more will be furious they have lost the grand
What if people vote no and company say nothing more. What happens then?Vote no and find out they’re not gonna shut the plant ffs. Might come back with .5% extra on year 2 or add a lumper no one knows only way to find out is a NO vote.
They’re under no obligation to give a pay rise. There won’t be a pay rise for the foreseeable if it’s not accepted, that’s the reality of the situation. It will be accepted anyway, most people are reasonably well informed enough to realise the current situation is not the time to be trying to force a better deal. What if people vote no and company say nothing more. What happens then?
You do realise they don’t have to give you fuck all don’t youVote no and find out they’re not gonna shut the plant ffs. Might come back with .5% extra on year 2 or add a lumper no one knows only way to find out is a NO vote.
The point is, the actual offer is actually very reasonable. The UNITE union will certainly recommend accepting.Pretty hard to ask for govt help if bumper payrises are given. Id have thought the main objective this year at least is to retain jobs even if the payrise isn’t great
Pay deal only covers upto Senior level. Managers, Directors and above are not included. If they insist on % then anyone above Supervisor level should be exempt. Said all along it should be an amount of basic pay like they did on the last deal.
Say the managers are on £100000 a year that first year deal is worth £3500 a year to them where as the bottom band earner it’s worth around £1000
I know that but the scrotes will be expecting them to up the lumper1% extra would be better. Sorry to anyone I’ve enraged.
If it’s 3.5% irrespective of any lumper, people would be mad to turn it down to try and squeeze the company more. The point is, the actual offer is actually very reasonable. The UNITE union will certainly recommend accepting.
12% contribution to pension.Just for context current top of band manufacturing staff on two shifts allowance earns £40,405 a year (plus 7 per cent contribution to their pension). IMO Comparisons with minimum wage are ludicrous, someone working the same hours on minimum wage would earn just over £23000.
Been full of japs in suits today shaking hands in reception and that
No really. It’s called negotiating why accept the first offer they giveYou do realise they don’t have to give you fuck all don’t you
They’ll agree a new Covid type one with the CC no doubtSo next January when all the stand downs have been taken , where is the volume flexibility. Are they going to start with you can have the day off unpaid or use a holiday shit again?
UNITE are about as much use as a chocolate fireguard in here. Just look at how they buckle in the pension rowThe point is, the actual offer is actually very reasonable. The UNITE union will certainly recommend accepting.
minimum wage for a job with similar hours per week is £24,761.88 not including shift allowance. with shift of 12 % it's, £27,733. Now try and get new starters to come and slog their guts out for about 2k extra a year.Just for context current top of band manufacturing staff on two shifts allowance earns £40,405 a year (plus 7 per cent contribution to their pension). IMO Comparisons with minimum wage are ludicrous, someone working the same hours on minimum wage would earn just over £23000.
It’s 12 percent including the 5 per cent put in by the employee . I agree regarding the merit awards.12% contribution to pension.
The pay rise and lumper is probably fair given the sh!te the company is in. But they still haven't addressed the issue of top of the banders getting no merit award each year, I haven't had any merit award for 12 years.
Also they haven't done anything the stand downs (flexibility agreement), this was the perfect opportunity to increase the amount we can owe, lengthen the payback term to give the company greater volume flexibility.
Of course a nice lump sum for our agreement aswell.
I put in 7% the company puts in 12% , total 19%It’s 12 percent including the 5 per cent put in by the employee . I agree regarding the merit awards.
