1st TEST :: New Zealand v England

Does anyone know what's up with Stokes?

He pulled up half way through an over which had to be completed by Atkinson. He was still in the field for the rest of the innings so hopefully nothing serious although he may not be able to bowl in the next test.
Couldn't be bothered to finish his over so he thought he'd leave it for some other mug.

Do you think it’s fair and respectful to call us ‘ a team of white ball sloggers and hunch picks’?

I think they deserve a lot more respect than that while accepting room for improvement.

I was very critical in a post earlier on this thread of the selection of Bethell at 3 totally get that.

However would Carse have been selected of county form alone?

Some respect needs to be given to other possible hunch picks
If they're hunch picks it's going to provoke questioning and criticism- No,I don't think it's unreasonable.
"A team of white ball sloggers" is hyperbole and probably tongue in cheek-I dismiss it as exactly that.
Or it's to elicit a bite to which you do.
As to viewing it as disrespectful it depends on how sensitive you are.

Apologies. From now on, I'll send any opinion to you first for vetting, then when approval is given, I can post.

That OK?
Foakes is shit, Pope an embarrassing number 3, Atkinson's figures don't tell a true story. He got nothing that will trouble top class players.

Sorry mate but you have awful habit of defending other posters disrespectful or rude posts as ‘ tongue in cheek’ or ‘bait’

Rather than just saying they over the top and not necessary

Which I find puzzling as your posts are always respectful and mostly fair

We simply disagree. It's purely personal opinion. What's ott to you and you take offense to I dismiss as bait or tongue in cheek. All I'm suggesting to you is rather than reacting as offended by some comments you simply dismiss them.
Opinions differ-accept that

It’s a fair point you make, on most forums be it the football, the main forum or the cricket one, I do tend to react to over the top comments or what I consider unfair.

And as with the England test cricket team tend to look at bigger pictures of overall results rather than overreacting in the moment.

Done it the other day when poster having a real go at Sunderland manager

It’s not differing opinions that I react to it’s the over the top ones or posters trying to be clever taking the piss out of own teams

Yes,but it's purely subjective as to what constitutes ott.
Anyway on a personal note,I've reached my limit of PMs apparently, so how's the lad settling at Uni?

Just seen the highlights as been away and don't have TNT. Looked very vibey to say the least but pleased we got away with it for once. Test cricket is rarely so kind
