What if Smith gets injured? Who do you think is next cab off the rank? The above all irrelevant really as after this series Smith will be England keeper for countless years and rightly soo.

I'm not saying he should be moved yet! But long term, he will definitely have the ability to be a proper Test match no.3, averaging 45+. He's freakishly good. Totally agree with leaving him where he is for now, but with Robinson and Rew waiting around, we're OK for Keepers - and long term he could be the no.3 we've been desperate for since Trott retired.Robinson form fell off a cliff once he was overlooked for the England squad in favour of Smith/Cox.
But he's definitely got the ability to play test cricket and do a similar lower order job Smith has done. He showed that with the Lions in India scoring two 80 scores at 75 SR with the tail.
I think there are plenty of middle order bats around, so seems daft rushing to make Smith bat higher, when he looks perfect there.
We did the same stupid thing with Bairstow when he should have just been left at 7.
It is odd how Robinson isn't getting picked.

I wasn't saying you particularly making that point. Just in general.I'm not saying he should be moved yet! I wanna get odds for if Mustard will last the two test series without a banI’m only jesting with mustard
Let’s hope whoever comes in , we win this series
It will be a tough one and I’ve read that Southee is retiring , so he will really be out to finish on a high
Might be worth checking what’s available for a man of the match or series for him

Southee has been finished for a while. Sensible that he fell on his sword in terms of captaincy and now retirement.I’m only jesting with mustard

Perhaps one last hurrah now not burdened with being effectively an 11th man as captain isn't a bad shout.

Aye find the whole golf craic tiresome tbh.Smith is only getting picked because he plays golf mate
Robinson I would go for. What if Smith gets injured? Who do you think is next cab off the rank?

It blown way out of all context, they have something outside of the very pressurized top level sport they play to help team bonding and togetherness perfectly fine with it.
Can’t for one minute think anyone genuinely believes players picked because of it as don’t think anyone that thick

He's either as thick as mince, or desperate for attention. I feel for him either way, what a sad little lifeSaying Ben Foakes wouldn’t get into Durham’s team man. What a time to be alive.

He would get in as a specialist batsman never mind a keeper. Unless you’re mad enough to think he’s worse than Clark or Borthwick.Imagine thinking he’s better than Ollie Robinson man
You’re a palace supporting surrey fan who trolls a Sunderland message board for absolutely no reason. And celebrated when England lose.
