*~*~* Preston v Sunderland match thread *~*~*

Regis hasn’t got much wrong this season. And the pleasing thing about him that I actually believe he’ll look at the game and make improvements.

He isn’t a miracle worker and we are still learning about him and him about the squad etc.

Shit performances are part of football, it’s about the reaction.

Aye, although I did think he got his selection wrong, I do probably think he thought our midfield 3 would have stamped more authority on the game, but that sadly didn't happen. Browne looked uncomfortable playing against his old side. Dan just couldn't get his passing right (especially in the 1st half), and Rigg was quiet.

I'm sure RLB had plenty to take away from the game. Hopefully, he thinks playing Wilson out wide is a waste of his talents and that starting with Connolly upfront as a lone striker regularly, probably isn't going to work.

We learn and move on. Thankfully, we didn't get punished and come away with a point and another clean sheet to build on. It's a steep learning curve when you're at the top, trying not to slip up.

Jermaine beckford saying mepham should have been sent off :lol:
Didn’t mention the Preston player was running in the direction of the corner flag and hardly bearing down on the keeper.

At least the other bloke said it could’ve been a free kick to us as he’d stuck his leg across deliberately!! That would’ve been funny.

Remember Jack Ross? You must have loved the draws with zero chances under him too.

Are you seriously comparing the Jack Ross League 1 team to our current team with some of the highest rated young players in England that are currently top of the league

2 0-0 draws away from home, top of the league and clean sheets galore with a home game to come. You'd think we'd lost tonight the way some go on, it's unbelievable like.
Genuinely stood next to a bloke who swore at and abused our team the whole night. Didn’t smile or seem to be enjoying it once. We’re top of the league ffs.

He’s had a five minute argument with himself about it.

Shortly after Heckingbottom was twisting about harsh ref decisions for physical challenges whilst demanding a red for a nowt challenge in a situation where they had barely half a chance.

Great viewing

Yeah, haven’t seen our midfield three so far apart all season but if you can’t win ‘em don’t lose ‘em.
