*~*~* Preston v Sunderland match thread *~*~*

Good news is another clean sheet away, when playing badly, with more players to come back as well as two forwards getting minutes under their belt which may help a lot later in the season. Bit lacking in quality, but far from a disaster

Think we have been been worked out , full backs being pushed back stops us playing, think Hume is being targeted as a weak link

2 clean sheets in 2 away games but should've been looking for at least 4 points really, hopefully this is just a little blip. Not the end of the world with Leeds losing but need a big performance on Saturday

Points away are never to be sniffed at, but that was tough viewing.

As Regis said in the presser , we bring players into the side to assess what they can do and to see where they need to improve. On that evidence, if Watson can get some defensive positional sense he could be a big asset, on the flip side Connolly reminds me of an early Rusyn. Always on the fringe of the game, he really needs to offer more, either in behind or getting involved in the buildup.

Hopefully RLB has seen enough of Connolly now. Third choice behind Wilson and Mayenda.

Rotation is good, but tonight the team was unbalanced from the start. That said not all the fault is on RLB, our CM was very poor tonight.

Still a point on the road, it keeps us on our way.

Two clean sheets at tricky places to go is a good start. The sort of games where we would have lost last season.

Ask Leeds what they would prefer.
Leeds have their main players to come back in the centre of the park and their squad is a lot better than ours.
They will turn the after burners on I the new year.. we need to get ahead and stay ahead in the table.
