Best thing I can say about the lad and several of these young uns at the minute is that I cannot wait for the next game
It’s great talking footy with people you know and having a positivity not often associated with following safc
Whatever happens -we are in a good position with Chris Rigg and he with us
After all not long ago the doom merchants were saying “ he wont sign for us -he will be off to the Mags -and the usual -“enjoy him while you can ( that greets any player who looks good for us ) as he will be off soon “
Well he didn’t and hasn’t and I’m looking forward to seeing what happens -we have him contracted and he is clearly loving it -he may go eventually but will cost if he does -in the meantime….”Chris Rigg ole ole ole !! “

Rooney was an absolute monster at the age of 16, had the physicality to back it up too. Strong, fast and he was ruthless.
Rigg is the best prospect I've ever watched at his age, for Sunderland, but the Rooney comparisons are mad.
Personally have him closer to Foden, in terms of play, technique and his build. If Rigg turns out anywhere near as good, he'll have one of the best careers our academy will have ever produced, so the Foden comparison is not a knock on Rigg, in the slightest. Hoping the lad makes it to the very top, it's class to see local kids making their mark and putting a buzz around the place.

People saying he’s going to go for 80 million etc are in for a right shock.
Let’s just remember people thought we were going to be pulling 40 million plus for Clarke etc this season. We know how that ended.

Thats really important. I believe we are the best team for his progression. He's playing at a very high level, getting games, idolised at SAFC, and will be really enjoying his football.
If people thought we were getting 40m for Clarke they were off their tits.

There were some crazy figures getting banded about. Lots were of the opinion he was a a 40 million plus player

I honestly couldn’t care less what we get for him it not my motivation, we won’t decide.
Whilst he’s good for us I selfishly only want to see him in our colours and cheering him on home and away.
His energy allows our press which so far works so good.
Talk of him leaving I’d prefer to ignore and enjoy the ride.

Leeds got 40 million for Archie Gray who is a year older, hadn't played in the premier league. Rigg will have had a season and a half of championship football by the same age.
40 million should be the floor.

Gray is a superb footballer as well mind . Not sure why we would get more . He’s also bigger than Gray which is very much what they will look at
