This whole argument of us selling him "cheaply" entirely hinges on us as fans deciding that our valuations of our players are the only correct ones and are free of any kind of bias. Clearly he was not worth what we think he was if we've got to the last week of the transfer window and nobody has bid any higher than this.

Even taking into account our red and white tinted specs, £15 million is way below value when compared to other transfers in this league for players that objectively aren't as good or as important to their team as Clarke.

I'm not one for obsessing over transfer fees but as things stand our ability to buy is heavily weighed on what we can sell for.
