Jack Clarke

The £18m will be £15m plus £3m of "realistic" add-ons that have been spoken about.

Odd that we'd piss away more than 10% (£2m) of the deal on "unrealistic" add-ons though.

What would be the unrealistic add-ons?

More than 10 goals in a season
England call up
Top 10 finish

Fuck knows
Could just be Ipswich staying up tbf.

Doesn't matter IMO. Unless the fee was ridiculous he's worth gambling on to help us get promoted.

Because the person that broke the news in the first place also said we accepted the bid because he was "desperate to play in the PL". I don't see why we should choose to believe Romano when he says the deal is happening then choose to believe he knows nowt when he mentions Jack wanted away.
Just because you say something that is right doesn't mean everything you say is true though.

Margot Robbie doesn't want to sleep with me because she's a lesbian.

The first part is correct. The second is actually because I'm an ugly fucker

Remember when the club said we don't need to sell any player about 6 weeks ago?

Must have for got they had £0 transfer budget to sign a striker

they cannot make up their mind.

This "model" is a great concept, but buying cheap, developing players, then sale should be for maximum revenue.

Not a chance we should have sold our best player for £18m odd. total crap.

Cannot blame him short career and has to do what he thinks is best for him.
Huge step up to the premier league.
Space and time on the ball especially away from home will be on another level.
Not great business on the face of it by the club but only time will tell.

The much vaunted model is based upon buy cheap develop ...sell high

If we learned anything the big flaw is now we're incapable of pitching our assets in the best possible way.

Why are we doing the business end of this soo badly? Are they that inept?

Left on bad terms in the end then if you’re expecting that from the club?

We'll soon know. It'll be either.

"Jack Clarke has joined Ipswich Town for an undisclosed fee. Farewell Clarkey 👋"

or

"Jack Clarke has left Sunderland AFC for the Premier League and Ipswich Town. He gave his all while at the club and we wish him all the very best in his next adventure. Go well Jack!"

Mebbes he had a clause in his contract that said we agree to let him talk to a premier league club and would let him go if within two years of the end of his contract, as long as the offer was over, oh, I don't know... £15m.

Mebbes.

Would have liked more, but once he's gone he's gone and there's no point dwelling on shit like that, so Ha'way the lads that are still here at the end of the window, and any new ones in or coming in, they're the only ones that matter.
