Jack Clarke

We'll probably spend fuck all, and may sell more before the window shuts knowing us.

This f***ing club man.

Wouldn't blame the manager if he just said "fuck it, I'm off", or any of the players tbh.

I genuinely can't believe that this has happened, and Clarke can get fucked.

I hope he fails miserabley.
We’ll be seeing him again next season

Which is fine, and personally it is what I would do but that’s probably why I ain’t in the position to be buy a football club the size of Sunderland.
But if you were in the position to buy this club you’d do what’s right for it because you love it. Our problem is we haven’t had an owner who loves it like we do.

People have been sold who are kids for 18m and largely potential from this level. A straight 20m and I'd have said fair enough. A deal which may amount to that looks pretty shoddy and looks like the club have just took it to avoid a Ross Stewart situation next year.

Its not good.
So this is potentially over about £2-3m that’s swung it?

In January they were in a real position to push for automatics. We were hoping to push for playoffs. Different gamble.

They took though and I agree with your sentiment.
We lost our 2 centres forwards and didn’t bother bringing one in. They had about 5 and still bought another 2.

I've already posted on how I see his situation tonight in footballing terms. Can't be arsed to crack on about personalities. Nothing personal but go find someone else to debate your feelings about his reasons to sign up to the job.
You replied to me so I doubt I started our “debate “

Seems we’ve been sold short but only the owners know if we’ve got the best possible deal.. and what they intend to do with the funds.

As for Clarke, he will be a first-pick for a PL club who are making some good signings in an attempt to establish themselves.

And if it looks like they’re going back down no doubt Ian Harte will be touting his no 1 client to all & sundry before the seasons out.

The fact the blood-sucking parasite has a hold over Tommy Watson too, worries me greatly.
He isn't Tommy Watson agent

How on earth are people justifying the fee? It's absolutely beyond a joke. Knew he'd go but thought we were 'holding out' for at least £25m!

Of course long and short of it is just gutted to see him go. Thought he'd get a better club too.
Brentford paying 25 million for a foreign defender who has hardly played first team football. It’s crazily low. I despise the people running this club way more than Donald and Short’s lot.
