Jack Clarke

If we have a good season, which is more likely with Clarke in team, the value of whole squad will go up by far more than £10m.
spot on , clarke staying keeps the feel good factor we currently have and that’s even more important in a young squad , best case we go up and that’s £150-200m so the £15m is a low price to sell in the bigger picture

Must be seriously considering it if Walker is talking about it.

We must surely have a sell on clause in it too to make it reasonable.

We rejected £17m outright from Southampton earlier.
He seems to think we're spending some of the money already which would suggest a deal isn't far away.

Wonder if Ipswich have a relegation clause for their wages? If so, he would only get decent money for one season and then half it next season when they inevitably come back down.

Maybe Harte will be thinking if he has a good season, another move back to the prem might be in the cards next summer, on even bigger wages.

With him having 2 years left on his contract and hopefully some progress in the transfer market, the ideal scenario is the club convincing him we’re giving it a go for Promotion and he stays for another season at least. £15M plus £5M as an add on seems criminally low for him, and there’s a strong chance Ipswich could get relegated. Not what the fans need, after the high of last weekend.
You could be right. A message of intent with new signings AND a new contract to consider may just swing it

People thought the club would let him run his deal down

They're absolutely skint man and terrified his price drops 5m.

Joke scenario after a good few weeks. Never lasts.

Is there an echo on this board? You've repeated yourself 10 times in the last 3 pages.

Can't be that Skint they've lost £15m in the last two years owning the club..

Hopefully doesn’t happen, 15 million plus 5 in add ons and they’ve had our pants down. An awful deal for us.
Agree when players nowhere near his record are going for way more. Then factor in the sell on fee we’d be getting fuck all for our prized asset. Not exactly playing hardball if we let him go for that little.

Which is one of the reasons they'll be desperate to sell before his value drops.

How many clubs have gone this summer without spending a penny in fees?

Sounds like bid was rejected but they’re open to negotiations as it’s maybe closer than anyone has got to the 25, 15+ 5 could quickly turn to 25

If it hits 25 million we should sell, I thought this at the end of last season.

Problem is he has been so good in the last 2 games, its going to hurt.

I’m wondering if they’ve identified Isidor and now that they’re confident they can get him over the line that they think now is the time to cash in on Clarke.

The club has a self destruct button if any optimism lasts more than a fortnight
