Jack Clarke

It has everything to do with it. Your argument for proving we wouldn't reinvest the Clarke cash was that the poster had been "paying attention for the last 3 years" despite the fact we've never sold a player for such a figure in this time frame. So you don't have a clue what their plan is for if/when Clarke is sold.

Like when we used the Ross Stewart money to replace Ross Stewart?

If Clarke is sold tomorrow, then Mundle would start on Saturday.

I think we’d use some of the money, maybe 50%, towards recruitment for positions around the pitch. I don’t think we’d take that money to find another first choice LW though.

The other 50% would go towards running costs.
Well of course because it would be difficult to replace Clarke in 48 hours 😂 obviously I'm referring to the long term, and not in 2 days time.

I don't think we'd spend 20m on a LW either.

Coventry sold Gyokeres and Hamer and signed Simms, Rudoni and Haji Wright.

We used the Ross Stewart money to add to the squad.

I still think a lot of this is just him pushing out bollocks to media. We’ll soon see

I hope you’re right, but the track record of the “model” - mainly the Ross Stewart example (refuse to pay the going rate on wages, then cash in and don’t spend the money on a replacement) - does not bode well.

My point was Mundle starts Saturday because he’s clearly the understudy to Clarke. We wouldn’t suddenly see Ruysn or Watson starting there.

As someone has posted above, this Isodor fella from the Russian league looks like a similar type of player to Clarke in that he prefers playing off the left.

I’m not sure what the rumoured fee for him is, but that’s the kind of recruitment I think the club will go for. We’re never going to go and buy the players to get us promoted. We’ll keep buying players we think can improve and hope we have a squad good enough at some point.
