Jack Clarke

Of course. They can't say he's not for sale. The whole basis of our plan has to be based on us not standing in the way of players who wish to move on if they believe that the move would facilitate a progression in their career. Players with massive talent and self belief wouldn't come here if we held players against their wishes.
He's under contract for two more years. If we believe he's crucial at having a proper promotion bid then we don't sell,

"sell Clarke the replacement is Mundle"

Just like Lihadji was the Diallo replacement
Just like Rusyn was Clarkes replacement

You don't know that Mundle is objectively the replacement for Clarke.

Who else have we seen play on the left wing in the last god knows how long?

Jewi is off to Reading, Ruysn has never been played there for us, Watson barely gets a kick for the first team. Ba played there a bit in the cup last week and was utterly awful.

It’s clear that Mundle is the back-up/replacement LW.

Surely in the medium term it's Watson. As Speakman has said the academy is our future.

When have we sold a player for 20m in the last 3 years and not reinvested the money?

What does the £20m figure have to do with it? How long have we been waiting for Ross Stewart’s replacement?

Our wage bill tells its own story. They’ve got no intention whatsoever of investing for promotion. The “plan” is to keep stockpiling as many cheap youngsters as possible, to flip assets and keep the “ownership groups” investment requirements through the floor. If we’re lucky, we might stumble across a promotion eventually if everything just clicks by happenstance. But god knows how many years that would take.

They have a chance to demonstrate that they are moving away from that this summer. But it’ll involve keeping our best players and adding to them. Not flogging off the Crown Jewels.

So you think if we sold Clarke, Mundle plays there by default and we don't use the money to strengthen?

What do you expect to happen? We want be able to replace one of the best players in the league, especially with the wage restraints we have in place.

We'd look to invest elsewhere like a other striker and bank about 40% of the fee for running costs no doubt
In the time remaining I'd expect not to replace him adequately, and as a result our team is significantly weakened.
Not sure there are many (if any) that are good enough to do what Clarke does in our price range
Then don't sell him.

Neebody knas marra -hundreds of posts prove that
Everyone is guessing and it causes ( understandable) frustration
Shame as last week showed with this team and a couple more in we could compete at top end ( if we don’t suffer injuries -squad is big but not deep )
Get momentum going and everyone you meet is excited-imagine if we win three in a row or looked good for a decent period ….

What’s he said done / said now?

Of course he is.. probs has debts
His quotes in the summer were a disgrace

“Hopefully we see Jack move in the summer”

I mean, who the fuck says that. It’s a total disrespect for the club whose gave him a platform to succeed.

Add the fact that he’s leaking stories to every journo going.

The bloke is vile. I love Clarkey but his agent is a cancer.

It has everything to do with it. Your argument for proving we wouldn't reinvest the Clarke cash was that the poster had been "paying attention for the last 3 years" despite the fact we've never sold a player for such a figure in this time frame. So you don't have a clue what their plan is for if/when Clarke is sold.

If Clarke is sold tomorrow, then Mundle would start on Saturday.

I think we’d use some of the money, maybe 50%, towards recruitment for positions around the pitch. I don’t think we’d take that money to find another first choice LW though.

The other 50% would go towards running costs.

Would be the most “model” thing ever to sell Jack Clarke, disappear the money and replace him with a foreign loan.
