Jack Clarke

I wonder if Harte went into the AOL last week without the expectation that we would not match the demands for a new deal to try to set the ball rolling for a move. Its possible we said ok and that threw a spanner in works and the itks have took it as clarke is staying while Harte is still currently trying to drum up interest elsewhere not least for his own little pay day.
We havent spent a penny this summer so maybe we are in better position to increase the wage bill to try to keep the better players than when we had the same problem with stewart.

This is where the big problem on here lies.

There’s not allowed to be any middle ground. Speakman in the first 18 months, not just him but the whole group done a great job.

The last 12-18 months were poor, lacklustre signings, the manager situation, the striker situation really, really bad.

Questioning it, is simply not allowed. The first thought of the posters who call people Fannie’s for questioning that awful period, is to come try and prove a point rather than celebrate a couple of good wins.

It’s beyond pathetic. Back end of last season though, anybody made a point about how bad it got and it was “enjoy your party” “not proper fans”. The likes of Whitburn starting arguments left right and centre, grumpy telling people to stay away from the stadium because they aren’t as good as fans as him.

It’s the height of hypocrisy it really is, and simply doesn’t happen in real like or in person in the ground.
What club gets every single signing spot on ??? Some players you calling lacklustre signings haven’t even had much of a chance like mayenda has it ever occurred they may just need a bit time to settle

How can you compare last season it was more to do with injury’s and a bulls knacker manager than anything else no team could of managed

£25m will no doubt come to the table before the window closes, probably from Leeds who are desperate to do some business before they implode.
They have just balanced the books with a huge £120m coming from recent sales.
It’s now upto the owners to decide whether they cash in (and hand Spurs 40% of sale).
It’s going to be very interesting!!

Think it'll depend on movement elsewhere.

Eze's release clause has reportedly expired - but if he does move you'd think Palace would be in the market for a left winger

Toney looks likely to leave Brentford. They've already signed his long term replacement but he's already picked up a serious injury. They're unlikely to sign a striker when they've got one who will be fit in the New Year but played Wissa up front yesterday - would they look at a left winger instead?

You'd think they'd be the main competitors. Would think Leeds would only really become an option if it gets to the end of the window, nobody else comes in for him and we aren't prepared to meet his demands - but strong rumours we've agreed terms...

£25m seems to be the asking price.

Would Leeds pay that ?

Not going anywhere man, especially not back to Leeds.
He's been there, done that, and got his fingers burnt jumping to a big club.
He came here to play regular football, in front of big crowds, and build himself a career.
Still a young man, has plenty of time, and a good head on his shoulders.
He'll extend for a couple of years and see if he can get Premier League football with us.

Can’t decide whether things have changed or he’s waiting to come back with a massive “i told you so” 😂
I’m hoping him liking my post the other day but providing no update means he’s waiting it out for a big “what were you worried about?” post when they announce the new deal!
