Jack Clarke

Surely, if you were advising Jack on potential transfers you would rule out moves to anyone in the same league and any club likely to be relegated from the Prem? So none of last season's relegated clubs or Leeds; not any of last season's promoted clubs, or Everton or Forest; none of the top 6 or 8 Prem teams will be interested, therefore - as a smart, bright, sensible, logical, common sense type of agent - you would consider Palace, WHU, Brighton, Brentford, maybe Wolves but not many others? So on the assumption Harte is smart etc., and none of the aforementioned come in for Jack, then you agree a two year extension to your SAFC contract at increased wages, insert a sensible transfer fee clause and tell Jack to continue enjoying his football.

You'd do that wouldn't you?
Harte is only interested in money tbf.

Common sense isn’t welcome here

Personally I think all this Leeds stuff is PR on their end rather than a genuine attempt to sign him, they've just sold all their best players and want to be seen as doing something about it but then they'll be "unlucky to miss out, couldn't quite agree a fee so we signed Ryan Kent instead".

Nail on head

On Speakman; would be interesting to see the squad the day he joined and compare it to now

I’m sure the value difference is many multiples what we have spent in that time. So he’s definitely added something

Saying that, the striker thing and effectively giving up last season makes me irrationally angry

This is where the big problem on here lies.

There’s not allowed to be any middle ground. Speakman in the first 18 months, not just him but the whole group done a great job.

The last 12-18 months were poor, lacklustre signings, the manager situation, the striker situation really, really bad.

Questioning it, is simply not allowed. The first thought of the posters who call people Fannie’s for questioning that awful period, is to come try and prove a point rather than celebrate a couple of good wins.

It’s beyond pathetic. Back end of last season though, anybody made a point about how bad it got and it was “enjoy your party” “not proper fans”. The likes of Whitburn starting arguments left right and centre, grumpy telling people to stay away from the stadium because they aren’t as good as fans as him.

It’s the height of hypocrisy it really is, and simply doesn’t happen in real like or in person in the ground.

....I think it's all harte... trying to pressure bidders or focus minds at SAFC ( which should be happening)

The club have a window to do the right thing ....

Leeds needing a firesale....doesn't send out the right signals to clarke ...

Firesale😳 these players had release clauses in them, likes of Gnonto and Ampadu wober ect do not hence why Leeds have already turned bids down,no firesale as it was sorted regarding PSR with the £40mill for gray, they have big money they can spend according to finance expert Kieran McGuire

Maybe I've missed it but I don't see any middle ground from you

If the players best interest was the main concern then yes you would.

But Harte would prefer a move to someone like an ipswich. Premier league wages, nice agent fee for facilitating the move. Ideal scenario would be clarke has a good season with say 10+ goals in the premier league but ipswich get relegated. Then he'll start touting him around again.

Harte is only interested in what he can earn as an agent.

The only way he's going to Leeds is if it's 25 million upfront. There's no way Sunderland are going to go into a pay over time arrangement with Leeds when they owe 190 million out in unpaid transfer fees.
Do some work,Leeds do not owe £190mill,every club pays transfers over length of a contract,70 mill owed before June and got payed with Adams and sinisterra 44 mill along with some of gray 40 mill with 10 mill spent for rodon, sold fringe players for £5 mill a piece to add to Summerville and Rutter fees, biggest revenue in championship backed by multi billionaires and redbull ,Kieran McGuire the finance guy says Leeds are more than fine

It's grim reading that there mate. 2024-25 squad, as it stands,

To be honest I can’t see Leeds paying £25 million for Clarke then you have he’s wagers to add to that fee
