My elderly uncle lives next to the stadium and has his phones hooked up to his Bluetooth speaker as he likes to listen to the radio (my other uncle set this up).If the striker situation wasn’t bad enough, the cheeky bastards have wound the sensitivity right up in the turnstiles so that whenever I’m within about half a mile of the stadium, it flashes up on my Lock Screen of my phone “Sunderland AFC: Welcome to the Stadium of Light” and brandishes my season ticket and doesn’t go off, to serve as a reminder that I renewed my ticket and have to put up with that kack for another season
Does this happen to anyone else?
Ah I thought it was just me - mine tooI was going to post a thread about exactly this mate but felt like a Luddite. Mine doesn’t go off at all, regardless of where I am.
I’m hoping after the first home game it does.

With a head that big, he'll be a valuable asset in the box as a target man from free kicks and corners. You must be logged on to see media items

Disagree, Cirkin and Alese both sicknotes. Huggins and Seelt are out for a long time, the former also a sick note.I don't agree with this, we're almost there but with the glaring issue of no first choice #9 that will hold us back regardless of our strength in depth being fine.
Patterson
Hume Ballard O'Nien Cirkin
Browne Neil Jobe
Roberts Mayenda Clarke
Moore
Pembele Seelt Alese Huggins
Rigg Ekwah Aouchiche
Poveda Rusyn Mundle
That still leaves Ba, Hjelde, Triantis, Bennette, Noukeu, Watson, Hemir and Zak Johnson outside of the two XIs.
It's not just those two XIs though.Disagree, Cirkin and Alese both sicknotes. Huggins and Seelt are out for a long time, the former also a sick note.
Pembele is shite, Rusyn hasn’t shown much to suggest he was worth the outlay. I’ll give you Rigg, Ekwah, Aouchiche and possibly Mundle. Poveda has a poor injury record and not much return for goals or assists, could turn good but unknown.
The ones outside of your two XIs, half need a loan move. With the exception of Ba who has shown he can offer something.
We have depth in numbers but not quality, you wouldn't want any of them in your team for any length of time. It's not just those two XIs though.
Noukeu
Johnson Triantis Hjelde Anderson
Ba Matete Embleton
Jewi Hemir Watson
That's three XIs we can put out without properly dipping into the u21s, obviously Embo is about to leave but we've got a big first team squad with strength in depth. We could get by and be fine if we only sign one more player, as long as that one player is a goalscoring striker.
Watson. We have depth in numbers but not quality, you wouldn't want any of them in your team for any length of time.
We can't have that many players ready for prolonged first team starts, it's not feasible. We have depth in numbers but not quality, you wouldn't want any of them in your team for any length of time.
1998 more like. That's around the time we broke transfer record for Lee Clark at 2.5 million. This ownership group haven't soent that amount on one player, I wonder if the wage levels are at late 90s standards.People going on like it’s 2008 over the transfer fee
C'mon bitch, let's fuck!!!That pic reminded me of Saddam in the southpark movie![]()

I really don't think we've got many players in reserve that are first team ready, as @South-West Mackem says there's probably 4 or 5 good subs and the rest haven't shown that they are good enough for the Championship as of yet.We can't have that many players ready for prolonged first team starts, it's not feasible.
I like him and hope he gets a good few minutes but it's a bit of a jump for him, I don't think we can expect too much this season.Watson.
Yep. Exactly this.We can't have that many players ready for prolonged first team starts, it's not feasible.
