The Fishing Thread

That's a chub mate, not a place.

Both caught on made up paste / boilie which makes it satisfying.
River full of streamer weed and found a clear hole. Only fishes when the sun goes down as only about 6 feet or so away from the near side bank.

Real sad that no Barbel as love catching them.😞
Last night fishing and another 7lb Chub to round off the week.
Must spend tomorrow night with the family 😀

Bottle of red on the go, Tawny Screeching and then the rod tip going round as the sun was fading.
Why I love Whitehouse and Mortimer because if you are into fishing it’s simply magical.

My first time on the Hampshire Avon and whilst it’s been challenging I’ve enjoyed it.

Been out today, was planning on spending the day having a BBQ but the rain seem to that, braved the first down pour but gave in the later one. One little fish foul hooked and about 50 crabs and that was it

The contrast of fishing.
Lovely Summer warm Evening last night in Hampshire.
I’m sure every fisherman feels your pain mate.

God that looks dismal.

So unpredictable isn’t it.

I fished Dunstanbourgh castle a while ago, right on the point. We were after pollack.

We saw a massive black cloud heading our way and my mate said “do you think that’s coming our way?” No sooner had he finished speaking than the first drop of rain fell on the rocks.

It was the size of a 10p! The heavens opened and my mate has a photo of me pulling on my Titan waterproof. The rain is running off my sleeve as if it was a hosepipe.

It only lasted a few minutes but there is no cover whatsoever so we just had to stand there.

We didn’t catch anything either!

Lovely Mate and good luck.

2 days Barbel fishing on the River Wye Monday and Tuesday.
I have been making up PVA bags of pellets tonight. Will give my Boilee / Paste another run out 🤞🎣
Cod season is approaching 😎

Rigs made, reels loaded, box packed. Waiting for the seas 😎

Good luck mate 👍🎣
