Jack Clarke To West Ham/Burnley/Lazio/ latest Ipswich...

His personal value will improve far, far more playing in the premiership even if Ipswich end up relegated. Right now he is a top quality championship player, unproven in the top flight. He isn't going to enhance his reputation to gain a better move or value any further by playing another year in the championship, as he will still be unproven in the championship.

Only way he stays is if we turn down all offers, can't see that as that would leave us very vulnerable next year contract wise, or, as you've said, he's been burned by his previous experience at spurs
How will he be unproven in the championship. He has absolutely tore it apart. I don't understand your point

there is some sister sh*gging, ham strokers on twatter basically saying he'll sign for Ipswich and they pay want they want for him

as for playing in the PL, whomever he play for, the calibre of FB will be far higher, and watching him up against the mags last year was a real tough test for him... one game isnt definitive proof, but the step up wont be immediate in terms of impact, it a matter of how long it will take for him to make and establish himself

He's not worth 20 million, a woefully out of form Kieran Trippier had him in his back pocket against the mags and I know it's only one game but that's doesn't bode well for him being worth that sort of money .
You say that but I'm not sure you actually do.

This all over, unless we replace with quality it fucks us big time and the problem with quality is they cost a fair bit and expect good wages.
Personally I hope he’s not sold as he’s the standout player in the team so getting a replacement that provides the goals he does will be next to impossible.
I’d much rather sell a load of fringe players and use that money for a forward, to work alongside Clarke and give the team half a chance of competing next season
This, Ba, Hejlde, Mundle, Hemir, etc,etc....get them peddled and raise what we can for a couple of competent strikers.

Totally agree. People are chewing off the signings potentially coming in but they don’t look a patch on him.

Sell the chod they’ve wasted money on and give it to Clarke

That Hall plodder you bought from Chelsea wasn’t worth anywhere near £30m

Easy this game

Says the lost magpie 🤣🤣

Had a canny game v Fulham the year before who last time I checked are a premier league team 👍🏻
It's not about being worried, he wont want to spend another year of his career on 15k a week in the championship when he could be spending it on, say 45k a week in the prem, regardless of Ipswich's perceived chances, if he believes he is good enough to do so.
Not will he want to make the same mistake and have a shit time at a premier league club as he did at spurs which set him back a few years.

He will probably go but I don’t think he will jump at just anything on offer.

Big decision for Clarke and the club.

So you're saying that, after seeing him for one game where he was up against an International full back, that he's not worth £20m?

You need to get a job as a scout mate.

But you realise in that situation, there’s a good chance he’d be sold if we went straight back down anyway?

And if we stay up, he’s at a premier league side already rather than gambling that you have been promoted.
Ironically I think he’d do better at your place than say a west ham.

I think he’d fit how you play and will likely play next season which will definitely be to give it a go and probably have a lot of success with quick counter attacks.

However I reckon Clarke will fancy a move to a more established premier league side, be interesting to see his decision.

He's worth whatever someone will pay for him - that's why I doubt we'd be able to get into an auction if you turn down our first bid.

He could potentially be better than Adam Wharton. Difficult to say. He's playing the same role as Grealish for City but if he shines at Portman Road next season, I hope you factor in a decent sell-on clause, because left wing is still a noticeably 'deficit' role amongst English lads. He'll already know Leif Davis as well.

If no one is prepared to match our price for him then he doesn’t leave simple as that really, already demonstrated that last season with burnleys pathetic attempts to sign him.

Yeah - I think we may well match your price - there's been a lot of interest in the player (apart from Burnley who wanted him for peanuts last season). I can't see us wanting another auction like we had with Philogene. I think Clarke's a better player than him so wouldn't be surprised if a few teams come in.
OK.

Who is Mark Ashton?
Our CEO. Likes to get things done quick and, to be fair, manages to. Best CEO we've had. Bristol City fans hate him.

Oh and ignore that extremely arrogant "Sunderland will do what they are told' bollocks from that twat. We've got some right weapons on X.

If you post on here I'm sure you're acquainted well enough with us to know this ownership group is firm with asking prices and won't be doing Ipswich or Clarke any favours by accepting a low offer.

Said earlier I think he’d suit the way you play and how your style may adapt a little in the premier league….im expecting teams to come at you which will give opportunity to hit them with quick counter atttacks which he will thrive off.

Also think he would link up well with Leif Davis and can’t forget working for McKenna will be an attractive option.

I’ve accepted he is off somewhere and it will be interesting to see where he goes.

Palace are my guess, already have olise money and may also lose eze if current reports are to be believed.

Yes. That's why I say it could turn into an auction. We make a tempting first bid but you hold off for a few more million and suddenly in come all the interested parties. You're the club in control.

If your CEO wants it done quick then he best pull his finger out. He is high on a few clubs wanted list.
