McKinney Bushnell Jones bas one of the strongest?IMO we'll be one of the strongest batting outfits in the tournament but will be lightweight in the spin department, especially with a young lad behind the stumps.

See post 7. Most sides missing a lot of players so a bunch of youth players selected.McKinney Bushnell Jones bas one of the strongest?
De Leede is one of only 4 players to score a century and take a 5fer in an ODI. One of the other 4 has a pavilion named after him at the RiversideDe Leede was away with Netherlands last year and nearly all of his List A cricket has been ODI cricket.
Where would you have Ackermann batting? The batting lineup yesterday was pretty odd is has to be said, I’m assuming it was just experimental though.
Lees and Jones should open come the real stuff.
I quite like the idea of Borthwick at 3 then gave McKinney and Bushnell coming in with De Leede 6.
As others have said, I do think we should have a pretty solid batting lineup.
What about Ackerman?-he's available so surely will be used.DeLeede is a walking wicket at 3 when the ball is doing a bit.The batting lineup yesterday was pretty odd is has to be said, I’m assuming it was just experimental though.

McKinney struggled batting in the middle order last year. Jones already batted middle order last year. What about Ackerman?-he's available so surely will be used.DeLeede is a walking wicket at 3 when the ball is doing a bit.
So
Lees
Jones
Borthwick
Ackerman
McKinney
Bushnell
DeLeede
Mustard
Raine
Coughlin
Gibson/McAlinden/Hogg/Glover.
I too will be at Leicester Friday, it is Warwickshire the opponents though. We are then gonna make the trip over to Worcester for our game Sunday and make a weekend of it!Was considering going to Sedbergh Wednesday but it would mean a 6 hour round trip so I’m going to Grace Road instead to watch Leics v Notts. I’ll be keeping an eye on the Durham result.
Apparently they don't want all the experienced players at the top of the order and want to persist with Jones as the "finisher"What about Ackerman?-he's available so surely will be used.DeLeede is a walking wicket at 3 when the ball is doing a bit.

Sound enough policy.Hopefully Bushnell and McKinney can watch and learn from Lees and Ackerman.Apparently they don't want all the experienced players at the top of the order and want to persist with Jones as the "finisher"
They have played plenty t20s since so he can't be that badI would give Ben Raine a rest. He has played a lot of cricket and he looks to me he is carrying a niggle. He went off for treatment during the last championship match and was off for 46 mins or so. Never seen Ben do that before
don't think Ben himself likes resting but he certainly shouldn't be an everpresent.I would give Ben Raine a rest. He has played a lot of cricket and he looks to me he is carrying a niggle. Only bowling 4 overs helps. In my opinion of course I would make sure Ben is fit for the championship run in.They have played plenty t20s since so he can't be that bad
