Anyone know the crack with Stewart? He didn’t feature in the Saints friendly with Eastleigh on Friday. Injured again? Was hoping to see him play in the premier league this season to see how he copes… wondering if it could be a championship load though?

Apparently carrying a “niggle” but the fans seem to have written him off now.

Russel Martin has said he's unlikely to be seen for a couple of weeks yet as they want to ease him in. Surely if they want to ease him in the way to do that is in friendlies. This way he'll be eased straight in to the intensity of premier league games? Recipe for disaster surely?

He had a poor injury record when we signed him and was injured when we signed him . As said before it was a miracle he played 50 games in league 1

Putting the injury to one side, their fans clearly haven't done their research on how he plays and the workrate he puts in each game closing down/ running the channels to spread the play.

I wish we had that in a player at the minute
