Strange but one of my Southampton supporting friends said he wouldn't be surprised if you took him back on loan for next season, just because Russell Martin doesn't feel he's ready for the PL yet? Dunno whether he'd want to do that?

His wages will be too high for us. Good chance he'll end off back in the championship though.

Clearly haven't watched him then, had more assists last season in the top flight in Portugal than Ross Stewart had in 3 seasons with most of those games being in league one. It's delusion to think Ross Stewart is anywhere close to Gyokeres

I think saints will want to get as much money as possible back for his wages, as well as getting him game time. Then they'll hope punt him next summer. The problem will be if he's a shadow of the player he was.
