The other thing about two wash outs is they'll give them the excuse not to get rid. Never mind the shambolic performance against he crims, and all of the ODI WC

Very much despite MottAlso won a world Cup
Behave so win and its players lose and its him so basically can't winVery much despite Mott
Spot on. He inherited a side still with 2019 fresh in the memory, and somehow found one last hurrah in 2022. Since then his and Buttler's record has been damning to say the leastBehave so win and its players lose and its him so basically can't win
See how we do against a couple of proper teams in the next round...Looks like he will be safe ...for now.
Which are these two washouts that you speak of ?The other thing about two wash outs is they'll give them the excuse not to get rid. Never mind the shambolic performance against he crims, and all of the ODI WC
Another defeat that wouldn't have happened under Morgan and Bayliss
I think Buttler should give the gloves to saltNo one will ever convince that Buttler is a good capt, and Mott isn't a complete and utter fraud at this level
Lock them up and throw away the (Rob) keyNo one will ever convince that Buttler is a good capt, and Mott isn't a complete and utter fraud at this level
As I posted earlier the buck stops with Key.Mott hadn't the experience and can't command the respect from the players. The captaincy and big calls have been terrible since the T20 World Cup win
It’s hard to say who is to blame as surely the captain has the final say
Felt criticism of bairstow and jacks n co after Australia was really poor when the bowling, captaincy and management cost us the game
They did win the World Cup tho Buttler, Mott so they deserve chance to defend it
However I’d replace both after the tournament
I think Key made a mistake appointing Mott and has to take responsibility for that.As I posted earlier the buck stops with Key.Mott hadn't the experience and can't command the respect from the players.
Remember ,Stokes put himself forward for the job and there wasn't_any viable alternative so I hardly think it can be claimed as a master stroke. Not so sure that there were many alternatives to McCullum either. Wasn't_Langer rumoured to having turned it down?.I think Key made a mistake appointing Mott and has to take responsibility for that.
It was puzzling as I am fairly sure some more capable and experienced coaches would have took such a sort after job
But on the other side of the coin appointing McCullum and Stokes for the test side was a absolute masterstroke that almost immediately turned our fortunes around from rock bottom to winning a lot of games in a brilliant way especially for the first 18 months.
So has Key got more positives in the bank than negatives?
He has for me
