Frank Lampard - manager rumours

- His stature and profile in the game, he'll have players respect immediately.
- Lifts the profile of the club.
- Players will want to play for him, either those here or potential new players.
- He won't be phased at all by size of club and expectations.
- Not a chance he's accepting the job without assurances from owner.
- Got Derby into the play off final.
- Winning mentality and will be a huge influence on likes of Neil and Rigg.
- A club like ours, needs someone with a bit about them. Far too many get eaten alive by it and he's been there, done it and then some, where he'll embrace all that.

Only reasons I'm seeing people say no, is because he struggled at Everton, like many have and because of who he votes for.
As a player, we've never had such a successful footballer here, maybe apart from Hurley etc from days gone by. He would be a MASSIVE coup for us, nevermind ya flame haired Gen Z bugga.

I would be over the moon if we get Lampard, jizz everywhere.

I'm not at all convinced by him to be honest nor arsed about his politics. Let's be honest he isn't coming here.
Whoever we get, realistically will have positives and negatives. There is some negatives, wouldn't try say otherwise, but after the mess so far, I think someone of his profile and stature is a good thing. I wanted Rohl originally, but never happen. I get similar vibe from Cifuentes and would be very happy and would prefer him. If it isn't, then I can get behind this, even though not my preference.

Mate of mine just sent me these. Apparently they had it published on the website but took it town within seconds. I heard the was going to be an announcement today too.

Fuck me, there’s about ten errors in that article so either Oscar has forgotten to put spellcheck on, or the work experience kid is writing copy for the website now.

It’s amazing the stuff people will do for a small bit of attention on social media.

Got Derby to a playoff final
Got Chelsea to 4th place in the Premier League and to the FA Cup final

His managerial CV is far better than most of the candidates we’ve been linked with so far.

I’ve no idea if there’s anything in the links but in for the life of me see why people are reacting negatively to the prospect.

His managerial career is not as good as his playing one, but not as awful as some make out.
I cannot see him coming if he has to work with/under the 3 stooges and austerity model.
He will want a budget for players he wants in. His contract will probably be a long one and have clauses about a budget and transfer actions... so is any of that likely?

Warmed to the idea of him tbf (which like Rosenior probably means it isn’t going to happen!).

Obviously the jury is out after he was pretty shit at Everton (I won’t judge his 2nd spell at Chelsea as they’re a basket case); but if he can get the young players going like he did at Derby and Chelsea (first time), then he might not be such a bad appointment.

Any realistic target will split opinion. I'd rather Cifuentes, but can also see why this could be decent.

Everton have a habit of doing that, a manger keeps them up & the following the fans turn on him

They wanted Dyche out 2 months ago

Personally I think he'd do alright, I have a couple of Derby supporting pals, they rate him, dislike him because he fucked off to Chelsea
