MATCH THREAD: Durham v Leicester Foxes 🦊

100% it was a difficult pitch to bat on. I was puzzled with some of our bowling selections and I'm standing by that view. Why did Turner not bowl when the slow bowlers did well? Batting wise too many cheap wickets. Coughlin for example thinking he's Botham trying to smash it when he didn't need to. Raine giving his wicket away last ball of the over when the runs were done with for that over. Potts again cheap. We didn't need to smash it about.
I agree with your batting sensibly assessment......we batted really sensibly to recover from a very slow and poor start......we just needed to maintain that to win.....but the decision resulting in the run out set the tone until the final result. The team lost it mentally from that point

I believe we have the squad to achieve a top 4 place, but typical Durham with the white ball don’t turn up. Roll on the County Championship
You would have thought that after two great away wins there would have been a greater desire and confidence to win last nights match. I looked around at all the "lion" branding and "for the north" slogans but didnt see that passion out on the pitch. Those last 3-4 overs were a tame surrender and to end up losing by 14 runs when we were perfectly placed to win was really disappointing

I.e. give up on the T20 5 games in cause we’re shit
Obviously still a chance we can make the Quarter Finals. Need around 15/16 points in the table so 5 or 6 wins from our last 9 games. Doable but will be very tough. Our last 3 games in this stint before the return of the County Championship will make or break our campaign. Notts away, Lancs home & Yorkshire home.
