Had Raine, Robinson, Potts, Coughlin batted sensibly like Clark did we would have won the game.
You’re being really really silly now in this pursuit of defending Clark.
When Raine strode to the crease we needed 9 an over, Coughlin came to the crease in the 18th over and was caught on the boundary as the rate was about to touch 10 an over and Potts came in with 15 needed off 7 balls (that’s a RRR of 12.5 an over).
There’s no such thing as ‘batting sensibly’ in those scenarios if you’re actually trying to win the hame. Unless I’ve totally misunderstood what the term ‘sensible’ means?
Coughlin for example thinking he's Botham trying to smash it when he didn't need to. Raine giving his wicket away last ball of the over when the runs were done with for that over. Potts again cheap. We didn't need to smash it about.
Again, see above. Some incredible mental gymnastics going on from you.
When you need 10 an over, you absolutely have to smash it like Botham. Potts lost his wicket to the first ball he faced, but what do you expect a bloke to do when you need 12.5 an over?
Poor batting under pressure by our lower middle order they are expeirenced to know that hitting the ball over the top wasn't the way to go especially with a recognised batsman still in.
Similar mental gymnastics to GMN1F.
‘Hitting the ball over the top’ is kind of what T20 is about wayne. Especially when you need upwards of 8 an over in the closing stages.
Really disappointing from the likes of Raine, Coughlin and Potts.
Can’t believe how many people are falling for this
This & this. The shots by Raine and Coughlin were absolutely ridiculous and that's not the fault of Graham Clark. Had they batted sensibly to the game situation we would have won it
They batted EXACTLY to the game situation
