Frank Lampard - manager rumours


Lampard would be a sound choice imo. Couple of decent seasons with us, hopefully a promotion and he'd back in with a shout of high profile job again.

Some people saying giving the job to Lampard or Terry and they'd be done when we've been linked with a St Mirren manager and Dave Challinor. :rolleyes: :lol:🙈
 
Wonder if he'd command a big salary given how minted he already is so that might not be a sticking point.
Weirdly for as many seasons as he's had that jury feels still out on Lampard as a manager.
 
Never seen a manager with less tactical ability than Lampard. What happened to him at Everton and second time at Chelsea wasn't a case of him getting caught in a whirlwind of mess, he's a genuinely terrible football coach. His teams are pathetically open.

He probably could and would, but he's not proven to be much use as a manager anywhere else I don't think. I'm also beyond caring now like you are mate.
 
We’re a basket case of a club, he will avoid us with a 5 mile barge pole given that he can’t afford his next management role in England to be anything less than very good.
 
I'd have him. He done a good job at Derby.

Chelsea and Everton are really the clubs to judge a manager on
 
His best spells seemed to be when he was at Derby and got loans in, but then still fell short and the job he did when he had to blood young players at Chelsea initially.

Suppose he's always been quite restricted in terms of recruitment so he'd fit right in.

If he had faith in his ability then he could get us organised and playing then step-up to an ambitious club like Stoke after about six months.

He’d have that thing of attracting players to play for him just because of who he is
