What has Speakman done to be so hated?

Our so called strikers scored the least goals out of all 24 teams in the division, that is a fact.

Who scored what for Hull, Norwich or West Brom is irrelevant.

He's bought in alright youngsters but we need 3 or 4 players in mid 20's that's got a 100 games in experience to help them out

And again it's not all about goals. It's what they contribute to the team as well. The days of the poacher are long gone.

The question I always had was why he was even commenting on things like that. What other Sporting Director do you hear talking about the position individual players could play.

It's things like that which gives the impression that he's far too involved in the playing side of things.

I mean I’d like to think the Sporting Director would know this tbh, given his role to scout and recruit players.

Genuine question, how many times has he played as a 9?

I can’t recall him ever doing it here nor when I’d read about his previous club.

He played it a couple times here in Mowbray’s early days. Luton maybe when he hit the post? Watford when he missed a sitter as well? Tbf not saying he was in any way shape or form the answer but he was the only one willing to run in behind when I saw him.
 
Dunno why people are still gan on about this we will have a new manager who will have a input in a striker every fucker knows we need a few including speakman id rather we waited for a decent one than just sign anyone or Dodds having anything to do with it

Towards the end of the season when we needed goals, we had no strikers and Clarke was injured. The lack of alternatives is directly attributed to Speakman.
