I never do, apart from at festivals when you’re in shorts & T-shirt anyway. However there’s more of them about. When I first started going to gigs it was considered "Not cool" to wear a t shirt of the band you were watching at the time.
Has society moved on from this?
For me, a worse sin is to turn up wearing the t shirt of an alternative band. When I first started going to gigs it was considered "Not cool" to wear a t shirt of the band you were watching at the time.

Topless is the only way to attend a gig imoFor me, a worse sin is to turn up wearing the t shirt of an alternative band.
This seems to be the practice at the vintage/reformed band gigs I occasionally go to in London. At a Skids gig there were loads of ... ahem.. more mature men and women .. in Stranglers, Clash, Ruts etc.. t-shirts. It was like saying "I'm a serious fan, not a part-timer or late-comer"For me, a worse sin is to turn up wearing the t shirt of an alternative band.
