Pierre Ekwah

It's all about having the right minerals to excel in the sport and that's a good example using Chris Rigg to compare him against. It's a massive, massive issue within our team at the moment, we're terrible at winning duels by not being the strongest/experienced, but pulling out of tackles and generally not competing for the ball is inexcusable. We need another Kevin Ball, Lee Cattermole, Stefan Schwartz - tough ball winners, not this laid back uncommitted rubbish were seeing week in week out with Ekwah. Thank god we've only got 2 more games.

o'nien, hume, ballard... probably the only three player in the sqaud with any fire in them for a battle.

Ekwah and Jobe especially are psychologically weak as piss and its something they need to work a lot on in the summer. however you work on that

 i forgot you change your mind more times than your knickers
I haven't changed my mind. I've said there are no more than three or four where he's been anything more than half decent which means that there's three or four where he's been good. What part of that is confusing you?
Besides, offer me examples of me changing my mind...
I'll wait.

Still no capable striker.

He seems to have regressed since Mowbray left (there's a theme there with some of our players). Still our third top scorer this season.
A theme is they don't seem to be sure about how to play... When to press when to not... When to stand up, when to fall, or how to move without the ball.

Yep. Mowbray an excellent coach but also Dodds having less time to do his day job of coaching players on the training pitch
most football players not only Sunderlands arrive at training at 9ish do a bit of jogging and then do some training work outs and tactics, the may have a bit of lunch and bugger off home for the rest of the day if Dodds cannot work around that he needs deep sixing.

Thats spot on. The focus is on keeping the ball rather than actually attacking with the ball to score a goal. We’re slow, ponderous and frankly clueless in attacking football. We’ve lost too many times this season to teams who barely kept possession but when they did attacked us and scored. This is a coaching failure as we’re not set up to put teams under pressure.

Anar he’s a young lad but what an absolute Pansy he is . Bottles so many tackles. Taught from a young age not to do as can come off worse.

His age doesn’t save him cause Clarke is about the same age and he’s brave.

He’s not good enough to be this pirlo type player he sees himself as so needs to toughen up or he’s going nowhere fast
His lack of awareness and lack of commitment over tentative passenger bullshit is probably why wesr ham binned him

Very poor today, there’s a good player in there somewhere.
Should have been replaced, Rigg was far better.
‘Player in there somewhere’. Seems to be the go to phrase whenever a player is criticised. Seem it recently about Styles, Hemir and Mundle. The player in there must be very good at hiding.

Weak as piss. And there isn't " a player in there" at all. Playing CM and bottles tackles every single time man. His shooting is as bad as Dan Neils and takes an easy option pass more times than not. If we're serious about this 5 year plan the board bleat on about then we need to do better than Ekwah.
