What is the point in Trai Hume?

Good RB who's attracting a lot of interest from the Premiership.

He has his brain farts, just like the rest of them at times, but he's the least of our worries. He clearly gets told to go central and join the midfield, which takes a lot away from his defensive duties. Roberts didn't help him yesterday and neither did Ekwah when he was hanging about on the right wing for Hume to go central in the first half.

Probably one who will move on to better things in the summer due to the big profit we'll make on the lad and he'll be a miss when he's gone. Especially if our recent recruitment is anything to go by.

Absolutely. But it's been that way much of the season. The common denominator is Dodds & Co.

Just to be clear, it's not so much the player I'm criticising - I do like the lad - it's the role. If he's going walkabout on instruction, it needs cutting out. If he's going walkabout without instruction, it needs cutting out.

Agree. Some of these problems were there under Mowbray. And now we have them on steroids under Dodds.

If anything Beale was the exception, because although he kept Dodds-balls pathetic refusal to counter-attack and play forward, he did at least think having no defensive shape with the ball left us hilariously exposed if we lost it.

He was right.

Dodds is the problem and the new manager must bring his own people. We should demand it. And if it doesn’t happen, we demand Speakman out too.

I know I got pelters for sticking up for Beale during his time here, and will probably continue to do so, but I can't help but think Dodds had the knives out for him in the background. I even wonder if he may have undermined Mowbray as well.

It can't be healthy having someone in the background with ambitions on being a head coach one day who isn't your man.

Is he told to go walkabout or does he just do it anyway? Absolutely appalling defender.
What is the point of ekwah
What is the point of styles
What Is the point of Roberts
Mundle .. jobe ... its been a tsunami of shit since January...even before that we were patchy at best.

Beale and dodds are symptomatic of a club that's going backwards

Where the hell has this come from ? Northern Irish young player of the year, premiership clubs sniffing after him . Bought for peanuts and will give us a tidy profit .But the couch experts on here have pronounced him shite .
His performances.

Great player at this level IMO with the potential to step up. Being massively impacted by poor tactics all season where we're asking him to do things we shouldn't be.

Just because Man City can play with inverted full backs or where the right back can switch to RW or LW as he chooses doesn't mean we can. Hume nor the rest of the team are up to it.

Trai Hume as an individual player is the least of our worries.

Thought he was the least of our problems yesterday, had a poor game, but no support on front of him, no cover from midfield & O'Nien & Ballard were terrible

He’s a very good fullback. Unsurprising his form dips when he’s asked to perform other roles or given absolutely no protection by the player ahead of him
This 100%, a very good fullback for what we paid, and should be our number 1 RB for a good few years.

It's no surprise that when he gets asked to step out of that position he and the team struggle. Just like the first goal yesterday, he'd stepped up and was completely out of position when Roberts tripped over and gave the ball away, leaving us completely open down the right. Not his fault at all, he's just following instructions.
