How would the fans feel

Yes, but if it happened now and this year's accounts are signed off, there's no disclosure till this time next year. Ti be honest, the amount of hassle this would create makes it utterly insane in the context of a loan of 10% of the value of the SoL.
But if the loan was for £35 million which is rumoured elsewhere and considering the state of the SOL it would kind of make sense.

In essence wouldn't it be like the glaziers did in using club assets to loan the money to buy the club?

This could be as simple as covering cash flow requirements. At this stage of the season clubs' bank balances are at their lowest because there's not a huge amount of money coming in until renewal time. However, the outgoings tend to be the same every month, so come March/April, the cash flow is decidedly out.

It could be, but it's still very bad PR and poor planning if true.

Also, quite frankly, with how we're being run off the field at the moment as a concerned supporter I don't trust there not to be deeper cash flow problems from the ownership group if I'm honest.

Bet the ownership group dont pay for season tickets or hospitality.....maybe we should demand they do....the only way to get some money out of them

Why? What are the other options?

Not pay the bills?

Remember he is unlikely to have spare cash, his wealth will be assets.
Support the club themselves. We're not losing huge sums of money. They simply shouldn't have taken the club on if they can't. And whilst I suspect their wealth is nowhere near what people speculate they should have access to finds to plug the gap.

Taking on external debt costs the club money. And would highlight what absolute nonsense his claims about the club being sustainable are.

No, Short didn’t cover all the debt, he effectively left £25m

To who?

He didn’t lie, he said he had a majority stake, which he did given he was the largest holder.

Don't know. Put it up for sale. See who's interested. That's the usual way isn't it.

It’s fuck all to do with being sustainable and everything to do with being cheap.

You seem to be a big KLD fan mate?

He could get the money anytime from many sources and spend it surely.

It would highlight the sustainable guff as absolute nonsense. As it would with their 5 year plan. The more that time passes I think that is just a few empty words to buy them time.

Their plan is to to simply get by and hope for the best and maybe if tbey're lucky they could fluke a promotion at some point. I certainly don't think they expect to achieve that.

A few on here seem to want to defend KLD every time ? Using L1 and the previous Trotters or the spectre of William Storey as the defence. Despite the fact that our football now, club merchandise, ticketing and stadium infrastructure have gone to shit.
I would imagine the minutes of the latest meeting will gloss over all this by saying the board are equally disappointed with this season but are still ‘fully committed’ to the club’s future.

“Sustainable” is convenient.

Their loan pretty much cancels out anything they’ve put in. Just SD and CM in fancier clothes.

Strange response, not long ago you were posting on here that the share activity as to comply with financial fair play, however it may be that the ownership are looking at a debt based funding model

Aren’t most clubs doing this now? Seems to be the trend

Man Utd the poor f*ckers are in for a billion of debt?
