I'll have a listen tonight. I don't mind The Coral so I might like it.It was for me until I listened to the Bill Ryder-Jones album. TBH, it's still close.
It's great, really enjoying it.Another newly signed up member of the Sprints fan club here. That record is great from start to finish, really enjoyed it. Must be doing alright cos from a quick glance a lot of their tour dates in the UK are already sold out a few month in advance.
Start of the year is always thin but never really mind too much because an album like that might have passed me by if it was released a few months down the line when there's a stack of releases out.
Birthmark for meA bit late today - there are new releases this week from Birthmark, Green Day, Sleater-Kinney, Packs, The Fauns, Black Grape, Mary Halvorson, Keyon Harrold, Brown Horse, Brittany Spencer, Ultrasonic Grand Prix, Conchur White, Yin Yin and Slift.
Cannot get this album off my headphones at work. It's a masterpiece, in my opinion. Like Michael head doing spiritualized. The fella is a bit of a genius, isn't he?It was for me until I listened to the Bill Ryder-Jones album. TBH, it's still close.
Ilion is tremendous like.A bit late today - there are new releases this week from Birthmark, Green Day, Sleater-Kinney, Packs, The Fauns, Black Grape, Mary Halvorson, Keyon Harrold, Brown Horse, Brittany Spencer, Ultrasonic Grand Prix, Conchur White, Yin Yin and Slift.
can't say i've listened to ryder much in the recent decade or two, however i suspect he peaked lyrically with the 1996 (euros) anthem of 'England's Irie'... lyrics up there with the great Tim Rice...and Ryder's usual lyrics.
