Spirit of 37 - display v Newcastle

bit of a difference between fans taking a banner in and presumably what was a full stand display. part funded by our owner

it would have been f***ing brilliant but i don't get why people think it's odd the club have said no. they've just fucked up the communication as per usual

Again I completely disagree, it’s not like the SO37 lads have revealed an anti Saudi banner at the last minute and caught them unaware.

I’m deeply uncomfortable with the owner putting his hand in his pocket to control the narrative.

They’ve got what they wanted though, they’ve pushed the lads to the point where it’s not worth their time anymore.

Our club is pretty much as soulless as those pricks up the road now, really really poor.

Give KLD his 10k back and get 2 banners made for planes to fly over the SOL right on kick off. They can’t do fuckall about that.

Planes are pointless, theyll just be ignored by pretty much everyone. There was a plane flew over SJP last season talking about Saudi prisoners. Bet very few knew it even happened.

Im not in favour of wasting brass mind . Id far rather raise the £10k and give it to Amnesty in KLD name making it very clear its a refund from Spirit of 37. Speccy foppish tw*t
Maybe we could get Amnesty to turn up and give them one of them massive cheques. See if KLD is down for a half time presentation 😄
More likely have to film it outside

I think the banner would have been class but can understand why KLD has said no . His lawyers have probably advised him that it abusing Arabs is not a good thing for his other business dealings .

Even the flags and banners and that? Are man, what a sad f***ing day all round.

We need to work it out and they won’t go to waste.

A couple of the lads still have a bit of enthusiasm left but for 3 of us this has been the final straw.

Hopefully someone else will pick it up like we did from Haway the flags and I’ll donate every time, but it’s affected my personal life this week and thats when I knew enough was enough.

Spent days designing a full stand tifo calling out their ownership.

Steve Davison approved it, but wanted KLD to give the go ahead. Waited 12 hours, found out they wanted more “pro sunderland”.

Waited another 10 hours, for David Bruce, KLD & Davison to change his mind and say we can’t have anti-mag stuff.

Fuck this club today

From the lad who organised it on another thread
Saudi-loving scumbag

It’s a fan display - it has nothing to do with him. Palace had a huge one when they played them yet are backed by US venture capitalists. Why is that?

The club have absolutely nothing to do with how many Newcastle fans are allowed into the stadium.

"Prior to the semi-final and final, which are played at Wembley, visiting clubs are allowed up to 15 per cent of all tickets for the stadium they are playing at.

That is unless 15 per cent of the stadium exceeds 9,000. So clubs travelling to Old Trafford, the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, the London Stadium and the Emirates Stadium will have their allocations capped at 9,000, unless the home clubs are willing to offer more. Despite the calculation seeming quite simple, there are still a few stipulations. The visiting club must make a request for the amount of tickets they would like for their fans within four days of the draw. More often than not, teams will request the full 15 per cent but, in some scenarios, they will take fewer tickets than they are allowed. In the instance that not all away tickets are sold by the visiting club, the remaining tickets must be returned to the home club on or (preferably) before the day of the match.

The tickets in the away end are not the only ones that are accessible to the visiting club. They are also entitled to a third of seats usually reserved and known as “home and visiting directors’ seats” up to a maximum of 24 seats.
The disabled facilities must also be separated. The visiting club have the right to claim 15 per cent of those seats as well.

Visiting clubs will not always be guaranteed 15 per cent of the seats throughout the stadium, though. The Safety Advisory Group (SAG) must also agree to the away allocation that has been proposed. The SAG is made up of representatives of services including the police, fire, ambulance and building authority. For fixtures that pose risks to health and safety, they can choose to decrease allocations for visiting clubs.

When the allocation is limited by the home club, it causes plenty of issues, not least with the fans of the visiting club. Allegations of gamesmanship are often thrown around. However, the decision is almost always out of the hands of the home club."
Aye but the club surely have final say on where said 6k are seated. Think it’s the location that’s the problem not the allocation
