I hope you mean just from been captain which I suspect you do?Awful World Cup, it’s a shame, shouldn’t taint their legacy as double world champions tho
So much aggressive nonsense spoken about our one day greats mind. Especially about selection,
Absolutely the 100% right batting lineup
We didn’t play enough ODi cricket and thought it would be ok on the night, especially with a long format
However, we couldn’t fit in more one day cricket, we play more test stuff than anyone, 50% more than oz and 3rd more than India
We had a series in Bangladesh 1 day after a test series in NZ
People go for big Themes but reality is for me is cricket specifies, not grand themes…..root averaging 5 in power play, when has that ever happened? Never. I’ve never seen root out or form.
But also Buttler and mott. So annoyed that it’s been excused over. Buttler just hasn’t got it, he just loses faith, you can see it in his eyes
As soon as he put SA into bat in Mumbai, England were done
I’m sick of hearing about “intent” and “way we play” from Morgan on comms. Utter nonsense. It’s tactics, belief, captaincy and leadership
I know Buttler won t20 World Cup and basically 50 over cricket does not exist now. My one source says the champs trophy will be 100% t20 ….but you can’t have a captain be that bad and keep his position
He’s responsible. I agree that mott is useless but Buttler is driving it
I was in India for a few games and he just was gone. Get him f***ing sacked man
Buttler is capable of very destructive innings but is far too inconsistent to be called world class. Statistics don't lie over the number of winning he's played.I hope you mean just from been captain which I suspect you do?
As Buttler still a world class batsman one terrible tournament doesn’t change that.
Also senior players have to take responsibility for massively underperforming on the biggest stage, most of them have been capable for a number of years and should also not be excused for their own performances, it can’t all be down to Buttler, although do agree with a lot of what you have said.
Having said that taking the captain away from him could be the best thing to get our best player performing again so may not be a bad thing.
His form has dipped no doubt, but he is arguably our best white ball cricketer ever.Buttler is capable of very destructive innings but is far too inconsistent to be called world class. Statistics don't lie over the number of winning he's played.
Yeah knew what you meant mateInnings not winnings
Probably where I am. It is the Aussies after all. India’s financial dominance is in danger of making it all a bit tedious. Like it’d be tedious if Man City won all three domestic trophies. Not tedious enough for me to be pleased the Mags knocked them out of the league cup though.I'd prefer both sides to lose but I suppose I'd rather India won than the Aussies. Hopefully Kohli will get a golden duck.

Yeah that is definitely a concern that it is the start of his decline, but I hope like your say it's just a blip.Probably where I am. It is the Aussies after all. Buttler certainly was a world class bat and one tournament doesn’t itself change that. But no one remains world class for ever. In the long run we are all dead, and we can’t bat for toffee then.
I hope this is a blip, and I wouldn’t write him off especially for T20, but it has at least a beginning of the end feel for him as for so many others.
Buttler's batting average in the IPL and vitality blast in 2023 were good but not exceptional. There were 42 players with a better batting average than Buttler in both the blast and IPL last year. If we were picking on form then he wouldnt have been at this world cup or for the upcoming ODIs and T20 series. But that applies to pretty much our entire batting line up.Yeah that is definitely a concern that it is the start of his decline, but I hope like your say it's just a blip.
Guess time will tell.
Buttler is a shoe in for any T20 team involving England dont care what any averages say.Buttler's batting average in the IPL and vitality blast in 2023 were good but not exceptional. There's no question I would have taken him to the World Cup as his recorded before 2023 was exceptional but 2023 was not and his performance at the World Cup both as captain and batter was woeful. He shouldnt have a free pass forever because he used to be brilliant. Hopefully his form will improve but if it doesnt then there are currently lots of English batsmen performing better who should be considered.Buttler is a shoe in for any T20 team involving England dont care what any averages say.
Yeah guess it’s the balance between the two, think Buttler has more than enough in the bank to be preserved with personally. There's no question I would have taken him to the World Cup as his recorded before 2023 was exceptional but 2023 was not and his performance at the World Cup both as captain and batter was woeful. Makes a mockery of the game. India with the talent they have should be able to back themselves to win on any pitchA world cup final being played on a used pitch is a joke

If they want to do it that way, the easy way, then fair enough. Will taint their achievement though. That's without mentioning the fact it wouldn't happen anywhere else. The ICC would refuse and ask the home groundsmen to produce the best, fairest wicket possibleWhy wouldn't you want any advantage possible
