There’s millions of gigs out there mate. You could go to one every night. Depends on what you’re into & what you want to see.

That’s just it. Having never been deeply immersed in the culture of modern music, so deeply as to be able to recite word for word every lyric from every title in every artists catalog of work, I don’t know what genre I am into or who I like. I’m a clean slate. And a brand new fresh one to boot. Everyone else’s slate is well written on you could say with over 50 years or whatever of musical tastes. A slate that is quite worn down and old now.
Maybe that is a blessing. I have the ability to cherry pick from the choice of genres and then artists associated with that style. I have the opportunity to create a whole new image in music for myself whereas few don’t ever get that chance.

You don't need to know all the words or songs mate. I go to loads of gigs where I know little about the band, but I know people who ate going so join in. Going to see Alabama3 on Friday, I know a handful of tunes. It’ll be class.

Went to see The Scandals on Saturday night at Consett ,absolutely shite no wonder they are calling it a day .didn't like the end Matty saying roll on Dortmund then singing Toon Toon black and white army. Hell on
I took the bairn to see Kiss. I'm aware of their main popular songs but I'm not really a fan. I just went because the bairn loves them and wanted to go.
Really enjoyed it even though I didn't know half of the songs.
Just get out there and let yourself go!

I felt like such a plank (literally and figuratively) just standing there whilst hundreds of lasses were singing along. How do they know the words to every song? I cannot remember what I did yesterday.
Mind you I was in good company. All (I say "all" males were outnumbered 10 to 3) the other blokes there just stood probably not knowing what the heck to do. I wasn't alone.
That said my lass only knew the words to the earlier ones. Later ones she doesn't know.
Anyhoo, back to the point. Ticketmaster is great for finding forthcoming gigs. In fact you can do a search from date to date. It is well worth doing it that way. No big names apart from Rick Astley but if you aren't fussed then it's a great tool.
