Stranglers we’re tremendous last year, despite being without Dave. It might have been more it was a celebration of him that added to it.

I avoid the Riverside cos it’s a shite venue. I’d be happy if I didn’t have to go there again. I’m sure there’ll be a time I can’t avoid it like.

I didn’t even know they had a U.K. tour coming up but their Instagram Story had a poster for it and Dundee was showing as low tickets.

We seem to finally have some decent gigs touring through here - Frank Turner at the start of the year(I missed it because I caught COVID, gave my tickets to a friend from work and he caught COVID at the gig 😂), Amyl & The Sniffers in August and now these.

I'm coming up to the first anniversary of Kaiser Chiefs Covid. I'm hoping to make it through the Winter gig season without succumbing to the bastard.
 
Great double bill at Pop Recs on Saturday 25th Nov. Withered Hand and Darren Hayman (out of Hefner).

If you haven't given them a go, I'd venture giving Supercrush a listen. Very 90s peak TFC with a spritz of Lemonheads thrown in imho. I was wearing an old "Tee-shirt From Northern Britain" TFC tee on Saturday and the singer called it out and we had a little chat after - he's not coy about his influences!

I don't know yet where my second one will be or who it will be to watch.

I asked my lass if she liked Bruce Springsteen and she said he was OK. So I may not get to see him. I am open though to seeing anyone else after last night.

It was a full on rock experience. Fantastic lighting. Great songs with brilliant melodies like "Lies" (more appealing to me as I didn't know what song it was or where the song was going to go next in terms of melody or lyrics. Everyone else did). The whole of the audience (apart from the guys there) were on their feet singing and dancing. Very lively indeed.

I hope to replicate that with my next act I go to see. But if anyone has any acts any time next year then I would love to hear it.

Aye I seen Gira smirk a bit when he seen the dust landing on some of the band's instruments. The mad bastard. There was a lass stood in front of me on the barrier who obviously just went with her boyfriend and she was grimacing and holding her hands up to her ears all night :lol:

I should have invested in a pair years and years ago but alas feel am a bit too far gone now!
