All the batsman have been terrible, many said Root would be suited by these conditions and has been just as bad,if not worse, as has Stokes as has Buttler etc etc.

Stokes shouldn’t have been in either, sends the wrong message, plus he’s injured and it potentially undermines Jos Buttler

Totally agree.

the coach has been absolutely awful. He has to be dismissed after this utter shambles of a tournament. An absolute embarrassment of a defence of the trophy !!!

the ECB need to have a long hard look at themselves. Look what Jonathan Trott is doing at Afghanistan. Outstanding achievement. Yet he won’t get a sniff at England.

I think all the players from 1 to 7 have underperformed to such a low level that no one could have expected on such a combined level.

Sometimes you get players who are out of form in tournaments and sometimes ones in form.

Never seen a whole team with such pedigree and experience perform as badly as these lot in this tournament, unprecedented I would say.

The players themselves ultimately have to take responsibility for their own incredibly below sub standard performance and that is the bottom line for me.

People can blame selection and other factors which of course are fair points, but that should not take away that responsibility of the players on the field

Good coaches get the best of the players at their disposal. Look at Durham as under Franklin awful Campbell comes in pretty much same players and the turn round In performance.

Mott every time I hear him speak think he would struggle to command respect for a kids pe class never mind a group of elite sportsman’s.

Awful appointment and has to go!

You may be right but the players haven't turned up, a cricket coach is hardly a footy manager they are more emotional support as much as anything.
