Southgate on Henderson

While we’re on about England Captain’s being shameless and thinking about something other than football. It’s rather nuts how much hate Beckham has received over his career to a few boos for Henderson.

Respect Gareth for giving the fans this opportunity.
What, respect Gareth, for what. He is a woke creep who pisses on the fans at every opportunity. Should have been sacked for his incompetence long ago. As for Henderson, why was he playing anyway, there are better players than him who deserve an opportunity who still play competative football. Henderson took the money and retired from it.

I'm gutted really. Henderson will make a brilliant manager one day and thought it would be us. Seems like chasing the money has decreased his stock amongst fans.

Think quite a few who went to play in the Middle East will be going over their contracts with a fine tooth comb to check for get out clauses given the events of the last 7 days. Many will be a bit worried for their personal safety if they have any sense.

Not a chance of him getting in the squad .

And that is kind of the point I was making. He’s playing regularly for a team in the top half of the premier league and in the middle of the park against quality champions league opposition (and doing well) but Henderson is getting in before him despite being past his best and playing in a low profile, poorly attended, below standard league.

For players similar to Longstaff, not just specifically him, that must be fairly frustrating.

Trippier played.

Problem is most “football fans” only watch tv and see the tv stations completely ignoring the fact that Middle East oil money from questionable regimes owns the clubs.

Especially when you see the overweight daft bastards bigging it up in the crowd shots on tv
Just seen news and trippier replaced Hendo
Just shows how thick supporters are unless they were booing trippier

He always will pick his favourites mate

Strange comments. He shouldn't even be picked, as he's playing at an awful standard, but it's clear why he's being booed. Because he's sold his soul and tainted his whole career. Never thought I'd dislike Henderson and it's sad that I now do. I was glad to hear him booed.

Good lad Jordan from farra school to winning the lot in the game. If someone put that amount of money in front of you it would be difficult/silly to say no.
There will be many more who follow him over to Saudi and it will become the norm.
Thankfully the players/managers who are in their prime who have turned these opportunities down tell me that this awful experiment will never become the norm.

Of course Southgate knew the reasons for any booing were, but as any good manager would, you’re not going to acknowledge that to the watching world.
I fully agree that JH days should be numbered as an international player and he won’t make the euros squad, but he’ll unarguably bring many many good qualities to the squad behind the scenes. His experience and leadership qualities are unquestionable.

To be honest, Longstaff deserves a place in the squad ahead of Henderson. Football reasons only, Henderson looks miles off the pace.
