CC : Durham vs Leicestershire

Could anyone hear the discussion on the live stream that I think was supposed to be off the record where Marty (I think) was talking about the dissatisfaction in the dressing room last season and the reasons why Rushy left. It was very faint and I couldn't hear it that well

taking the bairn down for some county trials in the indoor centre tomorrow, would love it to be all tied and up watch the trophy presentation just before it starts

Just spun it back with the volume whacked up. Journo speak about breaking the news of relegation, Burnham's drugs ban, dissatisfaction in the dressing room then Rushy leaving.

Dressing room.... Said all of that this and last season no need to go over that again but it's nice to see the truth is coming out more often now about how bad it was. Rushy.... Don't believe what the club put out but I got semi shot down for that a few weeks ago which is fine but I'll stick with what I know and who to believe.

People might listen more to you if you bothered to substantiate your stories rather than your "trust me bro" crack.

They can chose to listen or not I'm not fussed but I know the information is absolutely solid and it's good that the dressing room stuff is starting to come out now albeit months later than some of us first mentioned it even last season. I'm not going to come out and say who tells me such things that would be silly.

You probably heard it from Marty, who read it on here.

Another regular on here, claimed to have spoken to Rushy's dad at the ground, and had the opposite narrative to you about him leaving.

It's all jungle drums until we hear it from someone who was at the club.

15 years ago tomorrow, Durham won their first County Championship at Canterbury. What a day that was. Knocked the last five Kent wickets over in about 90 minutes in glorious sunshine to win by an innings, the final wicket being a golden duck for one MJ Saggers!

Not many of us there to witness it!
I was there. I travelled all the way down with my 10 year old grandson (we set off about 4am) and got there just in time to see Harmy lift the last 3 wickets. When Harmy got Tredwell we were still standing by the car which I'd managed to get parked inside the ground. By the time we got properly into position, Harmy got Joseph and Saggers in consecutive balls and there it was. We watched the celebrations, got interviewed by Marty and had a good look around the ground for a couple of hours or so and then drove back up the road with the radio on listening to all the bulletins from the Hampshire v Notts game for confirmation of the title

we spent about 14 hours in the car driving that day, the boy didn't complain once and we still talk about it now. I was so glad we did it
I get the distinct impression that the Leics captain wasn't overly impressed with that lbw decision.
Colly would have been proud of the filthy look he gave the umpire. Hill even gave the boundary rope a good kicking.

I only came from North Herts, still took me about 4 hours on the trains. My brother lived in Cardiff at the time, had a ticket for Villa v SAFC, and came to Canterbury instead! No regrets!

Well another step closer to another victory in a truncated day's play. Thought Ben Raine bowled superbly in the morning session as he has done all season. Leics looking like they want to be on the coach back home asap.
Where's Ackerman? Was there a gentleman's agreement not to play him?

I have the opposite story!

At the time i was living all of 5 minutes from Canterbury ground and had been at much of the game but the day that confirmed the title i was off up to london for a weekend out before sunlun played fulham(?)

If id know it would have been over so quickly i could have gone and still made it but celebrations were still had, albeit of a different kind

Nah we lost 2-1 at Villa that day!
