No mate, if it's a draw DCCC get deducted 198 points by the ECB and all the team have to stand in the corner with a dunce's hat on.Do I have this right- if the game is drawn (looking more likely with every rain shower), we get 5 points for the draw and that’s all we need for the championship?
A draw is presumably a good outcome for Worcester if Leics can't win their game. Yorkshire doing their best to assist Leicester despite the rain.I wonder how desperate Worcester are to win the match and set up a chase for Durham. I would imagine it would have to be stacked in Durhams favour. But our head coach hates draws.
Yeah probably depends on that game as to whether Worcester want to risk manufacturing a result in this game.A draw is presumably a good outcome for Worcester if Leics can't win their game. Yorkshire doing their best to assist Leicester despite the rain.
Wouldn‘t be surprised. No mate, if it's a draw DCCC get deducted 198 points by the ECB and all the team have to stand in the corner with a dunce's hat on.
Yorkshire get allocated our points and take up their rightful position in the white supremacists division.
He does, but even he wouldn’t risk losing when we are so close to the title. IMHO of course.I wonder how desperate Worcester are to win the match and set up a chase for Durham. I would imagine it would have to be stacked in Durhams favour. But our head coach hates draws.
Great shout i thought he might have turned up for a few games for a county at the beginning of this season for an Ashes tune up.there is the T20 WC in June next year, which I'd forgotten about, which normally wouldn't affect the CC too much, but competition from the WC might affect the Blast scheduling, so it might next year.
Would Scott Boland be an ooh!

A bit of a damp squib, maybe, particularly for the hardy souls who have made the trip, but I can live with that.

For Worcs to set up a result they'd almost certainly have to forfeit the opportunity of 1st innings bonus points and also get Durham to agree to collude. Can't see either happening. If Leicestershire are somehow in a position to force a result on Day 4, it may force Worcestershire’s hand to try and set up a result. Interestingly, they could do so in such a way that guarantees our title is confirmed.

get on the pitch, bowl them out for under 400 in under 110 overs and the title is ours
I was listening to Ryan Campbell on the cricket collective and he confirmed that our other overseas player next year will be a fast bowler. He then intimated that a deal was currently being worked on and added that if he does get the player he wants, then the members will go.... "ooooh!"
part of me thinks Old Nell McAndrew, but would that get an oooh? (perhaps in some quarters, but members who have dodgy tickers might have to worry about over-exciting themselves). As far as I know, Australia have no cricket scheduled between March 4th and Sept 11th, so it might even be a current Aussie international who doesn't also play IPL
Yeh but for Worcs to do that they'd need to have some certainty that Leics were going to win. They're not going to know that until late in the 4th day.Given the above, I’m actually quite excited to see how the next two days plays out. The forecast for both Worcester and Leicester looks much better and Leicester really need to force a victory. Could be some intriguing cat and mouse going on between the respective teams and their captains.
Where it relates to Durham is that Worcestershire may opt to declare their first innings on a score that would hand us the title, as a way of getting us to play ball on setting up a chase. If they’re on say 250-299 for 3 or more wickets, or 300-349 for 6 or more - it would hand us the title irrespective of the end result.
See the above, but we would absolutely agree to setting up a result if our title was confirmed in doing so.
